well me and my friend were working on a little breeding project.. we have been crossing some plants for a couple of years now and we had grown some of the seeds out before.. but this time we got a FUNKY STINKY oniony arm pit stench! 3 of our 10 seeds are giving this smell and 2 of them just REEK with onion smell.. its very wierd i really cant wait to try this stuff after a good cure. we have taken samples and it does indeed smell like onions after it has been dried. it is a very sativa head high and is VERY potent.. probably better than some afgoo that i had grown which was until now the most potent weed i smoked.

has anybody ever grown or smoked a weed that has a smell of onions? its kind of gross my friend does not like it.. but i think its unique! and tastes awesome and sweet. def. keeping mothers of these pheno plants.. who knows maybe its a new creation.. were gonna have to share this shit at the clubs..

well shit if nobody has heard of or had any weed that smells like a day of hard work and no shower (musky onions), then im proud to say i have some! haha. well i have my card.. so im going to have to share this with the clubs.. after we have a good amount of these baby clones up im going to have to take some to oakland.. this shit will give the blue dream a run for its money. we will have to come up with a name..

I know this was from the past, but this is the only other topic i found on this. I just grew a plant that had Hot Pink hairs while flowering, but they ambered as she ripened, but when I cut it, I noticed a distinct smell of onions. After drying for a week, and curing for two weeks, the RH is down in the low 60's and so I tried it tonight. When I opened the jar, it smelled great, but as I began cutting it up, the onion smell came back. It had normal weed taste, nothing great, but not like dirt tweed, and no onion taste during or after. It has only been 20 minutes, but it is definitely some nice smoke. Smooth and a nice high. Just wondered if anyone else has grown or smoked anything like this ? Btw, I have put pics up of the Hot Pink Lady.

I have smoked some nl#5 that didnt smell like onion, more pungent fruity, but the after taste was like funions.
Have had a widow variation that had an oniony/poop smell.
Also one of my nevilles hazes had a pungent oniony smell.
All onion varieties, have been very potent.
Hope yours is.

I think there is an Oregon clone-only strain that smells like beef stew. TGA is working on some crosses with it. The strain is called Green Queen.

it all really deals with the interpretation of the odor ( how we perceive the smell as pleasant or foul as well ) by the brain.

some things are universally perceived as the same smell , and some are not..

the mind truely is a very complex instrument ( of destruction lol )

I know a lot of people can't stand the smell & likely much less the taste of onions but this odor characteristic alone says a lot of how good this type of strain is for your brain, lungs & body overall despite it's potency especially if it's vaporized, This begins to explain why it's known to kill some forms of brain cancer.

I got a few oniony skunk smelling ladies from a batch of TGA Qleaner seeds. Very potent and extremely strong smelling. I assumed it was from the Romulan in Space Queen.

I grew a Hawaiian Snow from GreenHouse Seed Co outdoors (sativa) that went into November. She got HUGE. She smelled just like onions and lilacs...I think that's what you have there.
