oneinthechamber's 3rd indoor grow: 2 white widow fems, 2 ak-48 fems.

Once again everyone i'm back! This will be my 3rd indoor grow, so now I have things pretty down pat. Using 150 watt hps for vegative growth stage, then i'll be switching to a 400 watt hps. Got a 5 pack of White Widow Feminized seeds as well as a 5 pack of Feminized AK-48. I chose to germinate 2 of each. They are about 3 weeks old as of now, looking good and off to a good start. Hopefully when I switch to the 400 watter I will be able to get about 2-3 ounces off each female. Last grow I used a combined CFL/HPS lighting for a combined 300 watts and I ended up getting about an ounce and a half per plant off of my Northern Light Autoflowering Fems. They took forever to finish but it was some pretty good smoke! Very heady high, uplifting, and the best fruit flavor ever. Hopefully the White Widow and the AK will turn out even better. I will be posting pics soon. Just moved into a new place and have been very busy. Happy growing everyone and it's great to be back!

Try to get some blue spectrum in the veg room if you're using an HPS.. The HPS will work but extra blue spectrum will help tons.

Thanks smokey, i've got some 6500 K CFLS 23 - 45 watts that I will be implementing into my grow space soon. Anyone ever had the AK 48 before? I've had White Widow once before, truly amazing!

Looking foward to your grow. That ak-48 sounds good. I was going to ask you how your NL turned out but you answered that already. We were growing NL at the same time. I have to agree with you very very uplifting not your tipical indica. I smoke and i want to fuck around with something. For taste mine did not have much taste. I ran mine under 12/12 and it autoflowered I am going to try another seed under 18/6 and if it dont auto going to try to clone and have a mother plant.

I have 2 Jock H and one more NL going right now.

Deeproots you can not clone an Autoflowering strain as far as I know. Only photoperiod Fem seeds are suitable for cloning. Tell me how that Jock Horror goes, I heard it was FUCKING DANK!

I will be posting some pictures of my 4 gals soon. I like to wait until they are at least 8 to 10 inches tall until I take pictures because they all pretty much look the same starting off, I have noticed so far that the two White Widow Fems are much more bushier and the nodes are close together, looking very nice. The two AK-48 Fems are not very bushy at all, the nodes have a lot of space between each one and I think they may turn out a tall and lanky while the White Widow remains shorter and stout. I will just have to let nature take it's course and find out. Pictures soon, probably tomorrow most likely. Happy growing everyone out there and good luck!

Finally was able to spend the cash to get a 400 Watt HPS System for a very good price. www.htgsupply.com is probably the cheapest place to get your lighting, of pretty much any kind. I know this will help my final yields very much, four plants under a 400, thats 100 Watts per plant should be great right?

My brand new 400 watt HPS with remote ballast and four sided reflector came in today, for $140.00 and that is shipping and handling added in as well this was a great deal. I can tell this will definatly help my grow and I know it will be worth the money just after this harvest. I figure if I get 4 ounces dry weight off of each plant I which is what I am aiming for, I will be overjoyed! Sorry about no pictures but my camera is acting up for some reason, will have pictures of the ladies soon! They are just now showing their first white hairs, so at least I know for sure all four feminized seeds turned out 100 percent females. I think I might germinate my Purple Haze female seeds as soon as they come in the mail. Can't wait to see how that turns out, esp. since I haven't grown a purple strain yet.

UPDATE! My brand new 400 watt high pressure sodium grow light came in the mail last week. In one weeks time I can tell a huge difference in my old lighting system and this one. My ladies are growing much more lush and healthy, they are really filling out with this new lighting. All four are flowering and things are starting to look spectacular. I am having problems uploading pictures for some reason but I am going to try to get pictures up ASAP.

Anyone have any comments on the looks of my girls? I think about 3 or 4 more weeks and it will be harvest time. Comments/Feedback please!

From the pictures I uploaded in earlier post can anyone tell me an estimate on how much longer i should continue flowering? I was thinking 3 or 4 more weeks, maybe 5 for the White Widow, they are finally catching up with the AK 48. Blue Hell is currently at 2 weeks of age and growing strong. I am going to Harvest, Reveg until the mothers are full and lush, take cuttings, set mothers back into flower and get about 6 more harvests then just keep them in vegetive stage to take clones. I am also germinating 2 Feminized Pineapple Express seeds from G 13 Labs, hope it as good as the hype! Wish me luck fellow farmers! Happy Growing, and to anyone who is considering upgrading their current lighting system, my 400 watt High Pressure Sodium System is well worth the $140.00 shipping including, was one of the best investments I made, especially since I do most of my grows 12/12 from seed. I have had good results from this method before and my ladies are really finishing filling out, bud from bottom to top. I expect around 4 to 6 ounces dry weight this grow, I am still learning. Thinking of going into DWC growing soon.

Nice grow man keep up the good work!!!! Let me know how those taste and smell after your harvest, I'm looking into maybe growing the Widow and AK-48 with some Black Jack or Snow White.I would love to have something with a very strong taste and smell!!!!

Here are a few pictures of my first harvest off of this grow. This AK-48 plant really lived up to it's name, very quick finisher. Harvested main cola and a few side buds, left the rest to mature. I can't wait until my White Widow is finished. Now currently germinating two G 13 Labs Pineapple Express Fems.
So there is a tid bit of my harvest. Still 3 and 1/2 ladies to finish up.

Well I guess this will be the last journal I post on RIU, no comments on my first little harvest of the season, nothing. I want to know what this community thinks of how I did on the AK-48 mini harvest.

Little Picture Update here are my remaining ladies, well some of them, I didn't take a photo of the blue hell my other AK48 and my AK 48 clone I took about 3 weeks ago, its doing very well. So I am going to get into cloning now. I think it would be faster to grow from clone than from seed, is that true?

I think my final yield at dry weight will be around seven or eight ounces. I will be smoking for a long time off of that! But you really never know what your final results can be I may get less or maybe even more, but I doubt it about getting more than eight.

Whoops, those pictures had nothing to do with that post, they were supposed to be all bud pics, but I deleted them. All my grows are 100 % legal I am a medical marijuana patient for my insomnia. Love it here in Oregon!
