One of my mothers was stunted. Should I continue with it?

I have a few mother plants going right now from seed that I intend to take my clones from for the next grow.

However one of my mothers, Barney's Farm LSD, became stunted at some point. Not too sure what caused it, but leaning towards too much trimming.

It has since recovered and continued to grow, however it doesn't look as healthy to me as it did before.

Shortly after it recovered I had a mishap and my fluorescent fixture fell on top of the plant, snapping on of the main limbs in half. It also recovered from this and repaired itself.

Should I keep it and run clones from it? Or is there a chance that due to the mother being somewhat unhealthy that the clones will be as well?

I would hate to waste my time.

50/50 on whether to continue with it or not.

Thoughts?

Take some cuts first before you do something rash.

The clones and mother should be fine if give a chance to recover.

If u've already cut it back (up to 80%) and waited a month without re-growth and improvement then there may be little point in taking a clone. I agree with the above post from Victom. I often swap over my moms with new clones but only if they are healthy.

Thanks for the insight. The mother seems fine, recovered well imo.

I was just stressing the fact that the somewhat horrible upbringing so far might dilute the harvest of the clones to some extent.

healthy moms,healthy daughters lol
Yes I assumed this as well, hence my hesitation on launching an entire grow of clones from this mother.

Well she is growing fine after much trimming. The broken branch recovered well also.

Just wanted to ensure it was still worth going forward.

I appreciate everyone's feedback! Thank you.
