On the job toking

Just wanted to know how many people regularly get high before going to work. I am in a health care position where my job could actually cost someone their life, so I tend to stay sober during the day. How about you guys, toke and work??

(This was brought up because someone in the same facility I work in comes in completely blazed all of the time, and has a high pressure job where mistakes could lead to a lot of harm)

damn where do you work because im gonna avoid these places. i dont go to work high. im not a ppl person so i dont like being high around anyone thats not expecting me to be unless im just goin to the grocery store or sumthin. at work i'll see those same ppl everyday and the ones that dont know i get high i like to keep that way. i like spending money when im high. like i'll get high to go to wal-mart so i can look at all the big boy toys. i also like to get high when im gonna be in a car for longer then 15min, when i wake up, when i go to bed, when i watch movies, when i work on cars, when im bored...hmm...i guess i like to be high all the time except for at work and with unexpected or unwanted company.

I get high before class sometimes...the old wake n' bake. Does that count?

By the way I'm 18, so it's cool.

I work out of my home and am constantly blitzed.

i blaze before work most days. It's pretty easy to do secretarial work while stoned, and i dont make any more mistakes than being sober. Plus, I am just a nicer, happier person while stoned, so the work day goes by a lot faster and better.

I work from 11 at night to 730 in the am..and i also work just stock onto shelves all night so im always blazed straight outta my head afta every break im tokin

I work in care aswell - I don't go into work high - I used to when I worked other jobs but I cldn't with this one !! it's all good thou it gave me a excuse to cut down and enjoy it more! xx

i get high before work when ever i can

ive NEVER smoked before Work. I feel if people want marijuana and it's use to be taken seriously, than i should keep smoking away from my responsibilities.

I get high before work and at work. I tend to be a little more conservative about it because this is harvest season on the farm I work at and hauling huge boxes of produce gets tiring and weed doesn't help much. Also makes the day seem endless. I smoke usually after lunch or after too much coffee to calm the stomach. He's a real cool dude, bossman, though, an old smoker and grower whos been giving me tips on my stuff. He actually took us mushroom hunting today and in the course of teaching the edibles he made time to show the few of us he knew would be interested the hallucinogenic variety that grows around here. Hes doing a spore print tonight to verify, if they're good wqe get to take home what we found. Gotta say its the best job I've had yet.

Along these same lines, wouldn't people take it more seriously if you were high all the time, and they didn't know, and one day you get caught, tell them, whatever.

If you can seem normal, and people know you're baked, they might respect it more.

I used to get stoned before work everyday. Not a single hitch, and I have an important job in a HIGHLY secured area.

I like to have a smoke first thing in the morning with a cup of tea b4 I head to work. In all honesty it gets me up and about faster.

excellent point there bro... i've done roofing for almost 8 years, and most of it with the same guy... at first getting high before/at work wasnt cool with him, cause of my co-worker, who would always get caught,and COULD NOT work stoned... he started accepting it from me though, cause i smelled like weed every morning, yet still worked fine, if not better (less distracted... kinda ADD)... hell, i even became "customer service" because my stoned ass didnt mind talking to the customers, no matter who they were, or what their attitude was..

Used to work close enough to home so I would blaze everyday b4 work, then every day at lunch I would take off (drive home took 6min) for a feed & a sesh, then come bak 2 work for the rest of the day, then home again where I would smoke up some more!

Warehouse work - who couldnt do it baked outta their mind??

The first thing i do when i wake up is hit a bowl, it is also the last thing i do before sleep

so yes work does get in the way of getting stoned

I can't get high and work, I'm a Carpenter and there's a really
good chance I'd fuck-up and get killed, or seriously injured
it's all about safety.....

after work and on weekends its a completely different story.

Long as it doesn't involve something that is dangerous baking and working is great. You ever do tech support sober over the phone, you start wanting to punch babies by the time the day is over.

I do medical transcription, so I work from home or wherever I may be...
I have smoked while working, it didn't work...I couldn't understand a word the
docs were saying, and some of it just seemed really funny to me...so I wouldn't meet
my deadlines....So I don't smoke anymore while I work.

Also, when I'm in public, I'm sure I reek like a fresh joint. But nobody suspects it's me, I stay clean cut and in good clothing.

I used to look like a fucking hippie, long hair and tshirt, I'd always get attention from the wrong people, stoned or not. I started growing, and cleaned up my appearance, not a hitch since.

i have a job where if i make a slight mistake i could loose all my fingers.
