Hey, Dank!

Can you do me a favor, and get another thread going? I am not working for them anymore, and I do not want to support their business anymore.

No harm done, just advertise for them on your own thread. I will be using this thread to conduct honest reviews of new establishments.

I'm done shopping for awhile...picked up two O.P.N.'s (Oregon Pinot Noir...crossed with Hawaiian Purple Kush and Pit Bull from Stoney Girl seeds). They looked great. Stoney Girl suggests only flower no more than 45 days...

They also had a few Purple Kush, Wrex, OPN and one or two others.
Keep me posted on your flowering times on those StoneyGirl plants! I have been curious how they can claim such short flowering times, as low as 32 days. Most experienced growers know that there are very few strains that finish within 49 days, let alone 32-42 days. If they are done at 5-6 weeks and fully mature, I will eat my words. AK 47 is a popular strain because it is a super fast finisher, while still being pretty potent, and it finishes as early as 47 days, but often should get that extra week or so.

I am glad you got your shopping done! I hope you get some good results, regardless of the time it takes to flower!

I think StoneyGirl counts the first day you see a flower, as opposed to the first day of 12 on, 12 off.

So what happens starting in May down at OMMP? April was a free month, but as I understand it, monthly memberships would be needed to utilize the services provided there...at 20 bucks a month. Well, sorry...but I'm not going to spend 20 a month. I might swing in every now and then and pick up and 8th or so for something special. Maybe pick up some Jack Herer and roll a few J's for poker etc.

It is just so close to me...hahaha.

If I get locked out I'll still drive by and honk.

Honk for Ganja.

From what I have been told, and this could be incorrect, but the SG strains are crossed with Ruderalis based genetics. This will lower the flowering time, but the THC content in Ruderalis is a lot lower than Sativa or Indica. So pretty much, Indica x Ruderalis, or Sativa x Ruderalis. The way I see it, they are strains made strictly for commercial growing. I'll never place a SG strain in my garden. I've sampled a few of them and definitely was not impressed.

So yeah, it's possible to get the plants to finish earlier but you get shittier medicine in my opinion. Don't even get me going on their Club Pit Bull shit. Hiding behind the guise of medicine to make money.

Hahaha. I like the honk for ganja! They will want 20 a month, and 120 a year. I told him he should make a 5 dollar per visit rate, for folks that will not get down there that often, and he did not want to.

And Luther, go wherever you find what you need, man. You are a good dude, and I would never make you feel bad for going down there.

Glad to hear someone else on point here. I was not very impressed with the high I got from Pit Bull, so I agree. Not what I would donate for in a dispensary.

It is always fishy when someone claims to have a plant or soil or whatever that "magically" makes the plant finish faster. I am glad to hear someone else understands that you have to give SOMETHING up. I would love to see their THC levels on a 5 week plant.......I am not trying to put them down, but don't you think EVERYONE would be using 5 week strains if they were just as good as the 8-12 week strains? That would allow for a lot more harvests per year.

Seeing is believing, I just am a skeptic.

If they are proven to be just as potent, and finish in 5 weeks, then I will be the first in line. But for now it sounds like a marketing ploy designed to hook newbies that won't know any better.

Also, on their website, they discuss how they harvest, and they harvest by percentage of hairs turning color? Most experienced growers that I have spoken with seem to agree that you harvest by Trichomes turning from Clear to Milky to Amber.

Thanks for your explanation about Ruderalis, I appreciate the added information!

Yeah, I've read their information and have taken it with a grain of salt. I'm a fairly new grower, so I did a lot of research before I even flipped on a light. I wanted to be a patient that sustained myself, just hasn't happened completely yet. With that said, I will never harvest based on the color of the pistils. I've always gotten out a scope and watched for the transition for a 50/50 of amber and cloudy trichs.

I get it. They're essentially writing the "Grow Cannabis For Dummies" book with their methods. While it will work, it's not ideal. Same with their strains. Yeah, they will grow you "pot", but nothing I would ever consider medicine. The soil line? Another easy way for an idiot to grow. Growing takes dedication, patience, with a bit of trial and error if you ever want to be good at it.

I know of a soil mix that is essentially a "just add water" type of formula, but it's a recipe that people use who are pulling pounds per plant of high quality medical cannabis. The people who know what they are doing just fucking do it. The ones who can't pretend they do and try to force their way of doing it down the throats of others. They just have a "really interesting" story to sell along with their BS. I wouldn't consider myself a great grower, but I have produced medicine that have had old schoolers compliment on the taste and the effect. I've had people who have been growing for 20+ years and have almost the same making extracts that my oil tasted better. It's nice knowing my research paid off to an extent. I still have a lot to work on, but I have a good basis.

And I know enough to stay away from what they do. Whatever works for others, I guess. Takes me longer, takes more effort, but you get what you put into something. :joint:

Obviously I am medicated and rambling now that I'm home from work. I'll get off my soapbox.

threw A pitbull in the mix with great expectations. Billed as a very forgiving, potent fast finisher @ 36 days.
Plane wreck started showing 2 days after 12/12 started Purple wreck was right behind it. Next came bubba kush then pitbull right before fruit of the gods 80% sative. All of the plants looked healthy and very happy all the way except pitbull. I will have to admit the smell is great reminds me of old school skunk. Taking into consideration all the hype about pit is based on you using their soil and methods. Anyway I`m still excited but would like to talk to someone who can tell me why the leaves want to get dry and crispy. It also dosent appear to enjoy being close to the hps like the others have, Anyway If you have insight I would love to hear it. The smell alone has me piqued

stony girl gardens is so full of shit it makes my colon hurt just thinking about it.. 36 day flowering times, 36% thc..... right and im the reincarnation of jesus..... they even admit on there site that they harvest way early using the hairs to determine ripeness, and then harvesting when 40% are brown.... and there patients say the herb is crap if left to go the full 8 weeks. so basically shes got her nieve "patients" hooked on the head rush from pre-me weed. w/e. pre-me weed to me is the opposite of medical, not enough CBD to do anything helpful, and such a disporportianate amount of THC that it causes panic attacks for me.

they have like 4 sunny girl strains at the clinic near me, pit bull, crippit, pinot noir, etc.... they all look like schwag, no crystals, hardly a smell, and i havnt sampled any so i dont know how they smoke, but when i asked the guy about them he told me based on my taste i probably wouldnt like any of her strains, and that they get alot of complaints about a lack of potency.

i could go on an on about them all day, but i wont, i will just finish by saying that it makes me sick that someone would go so far out of there way to rip off and get rich off of sick people who dont know anything about cannabis.
