OMMP and jobs that test

so i have a friend that is applying for her card soon may be getting a job which will definitely drug test upon hiring.

so my question for her, is has anyone gotten/not gotten fired after failing a drug test while having an OMMP card?

has anyone actually talked to a lawyer about this.

the ommp website FAQ says:
The Oregon Medical Marijuana Act states that employers are not required to accommodate employees who use medical marijuana. You may wish to consult an attorney about whether or not to tell your employer that you are a patient in the OMMP. A patient may contact the OMMP in writing to ask the Program to release information about the patient’s registration to an employer.

if you have a good job that payes good and the drug test it is best to not smoke. i know it sux but employers have the right to noth hire you even if you r medical.

Yup that's the cold truth Wal-mart fired a man with a brain tumor because he took the THC pills but then again they don't really drug test unless you get injured on the job. Ether way it sucks DO LIKE ME buy synthetic piss or stop smoking for a 3 weeks and drink water

ya it is lame as fuck, but yet they let pill addicts work theri. and do use the fake dick as well with the pee, i might get some for when i see my PO, they dont stare at my dick or nothing but are in the room while you take the piss test. i got to see my po on the 1st so today is my last day smoking then i got like 15 days to get it out. lots of water, 100 percent cranberry juice, Grean tea, and multi vitamins plus sweating always worked for me.
are you in oregon HS?

thats what i thought.

this is a sad, sad flaw in our law.
prop 203 in az protects the patient from discrimination.

this needs to be written into our law for 2012.

If you really want to follow up on this, I can send you a couple links to a case that went all the way to the supreme court over an Oregon employee that was fired because he was tested and came up hot-

Simply put, the supreme court found that the employer was perfectly within his rights, because, the Oregon Medical Marijuana Act illegally provides for the consumption of a drug listed in the schedule 1 drug list. Making a longer story even shorter, the Oregon courts found in favor of the card holding employee, but the employer took it to the supreme court.

As much as I hate to say it; Tell your friend give up the marijuana, or give up the job idea.

the whales are coming!!! i wonder if they would be ok with it at a D.H.S office if you have your card... they gave it to me (not the smoke the card)? that whole goose / gander thing hmmm.
