This year's grow is over, I have the last of the popcorn bud drying in trays as we speak. The way I harvest is in sections, taking the big colas off, then the mids and finally a stripping of the popcorn bud. I space the cuts about a week apart to let the next tier of buds get sun and fatten up. I'll tell ya, that popcorn bud is not to be poo-pooed. I made one last trip out to the site Saturday before Nate hit and stripped those little trich-encrusted diamonds off the branches. Gonna grind it up try my hand at some canna recipes with it. Cleaned up all my tools and tracks, nothing but mulch where the plants were...just in time for the bow hunters to take the fields. I would estimate a 5 pound pull this year...not bad for the old silverback.
