old dry soil

so a while back I had some leftover soil and stuff after i transplanted i put it all in a tote. It was some black gold potting soil some extra worm castings some dolomite lime and perlite. Than we went fishing one day and I had some extra nightcrawlers and i thought ill just put tem in the tote so i did and put some water in it and closed the lid. When i came back all the worms are dead i assume from lack of oxygen and the soil was all stagnet or whatever. I was afraid to put it in my garden outside because i didnt want to draw attention so its just been sitting there.

Anywasy so now i want to start a new run but is this soil any good? i bought some seed starting mix yesterday costed me 20$!so if i could transpant in this soil that would be preferable other than that i pretty much got everything else I need which i bought last summer.:dunce:

Well, the worms wont hurt it. If anything worm castings would improve the quality so I doubt you have anything to worry about from that. The dryness of the soil should'nt be a problem either considering that you will rehydrate it when you water your seeds. I think you'll be ok.
