Old, clueless, newbie

Old as in 50+; clueless as in computer illiteracy and etiquite; newbie to growing, but I decided to try to grow my own anyway. So far I've got one 5 inch plant that looks like an Indica (i just grabbed some seeds from the bottom of the tray) that is about 3 weeks old and three brand new seedlings that just popped up. These are under a 4 bulb 2 ft t5 sunblaze setup in a closet.
I have got lots of questions for all the gurus on this site and just wanted to say hi.
I have done a lot of research so far and read my books, but still got questions.
I have two 4x4 tents and want to set one up. I am thinking a 500 watt dual spectrum air cooled with a lens for heat control. Can you point me in the right direction of a good light?

I would recommend using 400W High Pressure Sodium lamps with air cooled reflectors.
400W lamps are about right for your tents, should give you plenty of light, but you will want to be able to effectively cool those puppies.
You could use a Metal halide light if you wanted to have a dedicated vegetative tent, but HPS lamps put out slightly more light (lumens) than MH lamps and should be used for flowering anyway. Your T5 fixture should be able to handle early vegetative growth, clones, and seedlings, but you will want to use HPS for optimal bud production and formation. A few good sites to order from are
