I'll take the tops and then play it by sight with the lower stuff.I wanna see if it will grow up like the tops the lower stuff isnt ready anyways the hairs are all still white with clear trich so Id give that stuff week or 2 maybe depending on how they look after tops come off.I built a second 1 of these to use while this 1 finishes up and took all the pictures and stuff for the long promised design thread for this unit but I added some upgrades and am still tinkering with the backup drip lines in case of emergency mister clogs. Will have a spare battery with a convertor for outlest to run the pump for about a day for power failures should them come. The new setup is in a better place where I can keep temps down as I want to have the temps stay below 78 the whole way through.I got bored and started some BlueBerry and Sweet Purple seeds I ordered last year and got those germed in 24 hours and now at 3 days under lights they are about 2 inches tall in the containers so hopefully Ill get some ladies as this group is seeds and I only did 3 of each so should know in about 2 weeks what I gots.Im also going to post a do it yourself wide coverage reflector.I have 3 designs but will start with the first as its the easiest takes about an hour or 2 to complete with no welding just a drill and a hammer and costs about $15 bucks to make.Heres a little preview of that design...

Thanks again Fletch, I wanna see that wide reflector when completed I have a high bay hps 400 watt and want to turn the bulb sideways and make a remote ballast out of the ballast but it's a project i would like to try as im still liking the flouros for my veg.

Fletch, quick question about your set up. i am making one but i am making it only 6 sites, so my question to you is what gph pump should i use? can i use a smaller one or do you think the number of posts and sites matter?

Ok so you ll have only 6 net cups in the setup.I have a setup like that I made using a rubbermaid 15 gallon tub and some pvc with 6 sprayers. It has a 350 gph rated pump hope that helps.

Well heres a little update.Im at day 36 12/12 and just harvested a few tops and couple whole plants.Wasn't bad considering a new setup for me to get used to and finishing at day 36 or 5 weeks.I just took some picyure and uploaded them to show the pull from 1 of the plants. The yields so far of the few I got cut and trimmed is pretty much consistant per plant. Its coming out to be around 3.5 - 4 oz per plant lightly dried and trimmed.Im gonna say fully driend and cured about 1.5-2 oz per plant. I took the plants that were most ready and then took some colas and left some of the lower plant to full up some more.I will post a few pics from the first trimmed up plant of this indica.Nice fist size nuggs and then some lower longer buds.Has a very sticky white red crystal covering and the smell is in your face pungent and sweet. The sweet added the nice light berry scent in the background to the natural spice.Well heres the pics...

Another question, my plants are getting so big in those 3" pots that they are falling all the time, have you ever tried to go from aero to ebb/ flow and do you think it would work now for me?
OR should i stick it out and string them up? I'm leaning toward the ebb but i guess i wanted to see if you thought it might work.

I have grown ebb and flow but never switched in mid grow.Id be worried about shock.I had that issue and have 2 solutions that may helps.Build a pvc grid like tic tac toe and put each plant in an opening.Or build a square with pvc around the grow then use twine ( string) to make a grid to stop plants from leaning over to much. You can even make legs for the square if you can t attach it to any walls

Incredible for Day 36 man....and with your Molases troubles too man. Great job! :joint:

I'm considering harvesting my plants in stages like this as well, so I'm very interested in your results.

How are your girls doing since you harvested the tops?

looking forward to that journal on how you built it. Heh sure would be badass to get a crop from clone to finish in 36 days.

I'm gonna try the grid with strings and see if they make it, they will make it i'm just gonna have to use bigger pots next time. I'll update you in a week.
thanks

Ahhh the days of a long fruitful grow always seem sweet at the end.I am wrapping up this journel shortly as this cycle has come and completed for the most part.I will post some pics later as my batteries have died in the camera and Im too lazy to go get some more lol.All and all I am very please with my first aero grow and home built unit. I found it fast and easy to use and very productive in such a small space.Yield came in pretty good but I will improve it in the future I am sure with better unit and better lights. From the take downs I am around 3 to 3.5 oz per plant with this being a 28 plant unit minus the 3 I lost to molasses gate '07 so thats roughly 87.5 oz before drying. My ideal goal was 2-3 oz dry from each plant so I hit about half the goal on a first run.A good result from aero growing using Fox Farm and at the end Sweet berry additive.I gave a final week straight water flush and all that was left was clean smoke.I hope everyone got a little enjoyment out of this little journel and I will post back some pictures soon. I will also post the plans for this setup in 24-72 hours and also a post on the do it yourself reflector. Thanks and enjoy...

What is your cure method? Some type of vacuum jar dry? I was thinking of the water cure. Any opinions?

Thanks, O2

hey FF! how did you hang your emitter lines in the pvc posts? they cant just sit on the bottom of the posts because the roots will block the water...? you hung them up high? can you explain how you did this? thanks a bunch!!!:peace:

FilthyFletch

Mr I Can Do That For Half
Nope the sprayers that are seen on some setup that have hoses running to each one dont spray the entire pots and roots as good they water 1 place up high so roots form slower and not at the bottom of the pot so the plants can tip easier. This setup uses 1/2 pvc lines in each post chamber and then the misters are offset to the sides and then twiosted in so th mist covers one side of 2 pots and the next sprayer gets the other side and the side of the next pot.The misters are actually about 2 inches tall inside so the root mass stretches the entire length of the chamber getting the NFT run off additive which increases growth and yield without going over the mister heads so the roots dont clog the misters. Your main thing is to use an inline filter or filter bad to catch the crap from the res before its in the pump then lines as that stuff will clog a mister then you gotta do some work.Washing the hydroton pebbles a few good times before using helps a ton. I think in last 6 grows with these bigger units I changed maybe 3 mistres except when I did a dummy experiment and tried molasses in an aero setup since no one else said they ever tried and well it made root beer foam that dried on the misters heads and made gooo so I had to yank the mister lines and clean them out
