Ok so I always run into a problem with seedlings. This plant has been vegging since the 21. Now I notice along the edge near the tip or the first leaf there is a slight yellow appearing and under the leave on the bottom side its a brownish color.(you know when you wet blue line paper its leaves that water mark. well that's how the brown looks.)

I water with distilled water which the Ph is supposedly 6.0 I have a cheap Ph tester that shows 6.0 to like 7.8 or something cant remember but its yellow when I test. and 6.0 is yellow. and it looks the same color.

Maybe its over watering But i waited almost 3 days before a water and i stuck my finger about 2 and a half inches down it was still moist kinda but not really it was darker then the top I know that for sure.

Now this problems comes on every time I start a seedling. And I am trying to figure it out what it is. First I over watered and I didn't rinse my coco out before using it. Second I didnt rinse my coco out before using it(I found that problem out just a week ago after I killed my old seedlings.) Now I have this seedling which is coming on with a problem but has done better then all the other seedlings. I am using Scott's premium potting soil 0.07-0.01-0.03/

Here's Pics of The latest seedling.

100_0984.jpgThat's the Yellow spot in the red Box.

100_0982.jpgNow it may look black but the Cam couldn't get a good Pic its Brown.

Some one just give me some answers please.

if you killed off 3 grows and it started like this, you have a common factor and have to switch something. are you feeding it anything? give it plain water with some superthive for a bit and i think it will be fine.

what is your ph run off? just cuz the water is 6 ur run off might be way low(most soils have junk in it to drop the ph around 6 to 6.5) tap water may be better(after you let it sit for 24 hrs

I think I see a few things wrong that have yet to be mentioned here...
Firstly, I would get those cfls at least 12in away then gradually move them closer (looks like a little heat stress).
It's possible that your soil mix is too strong for your seedlings (prob. not because the NPK is pretty low on your soil).
Give them only plain water at this point.
They do look slightly overwatered. Keep in mind that when these plants are in this stage of life, their root-systems are miniscule and use very little water.
+rep for luck!

he doesnt have a 400 watt light on it , the leaves aren't curled down trying to conserve water or suffering from too much light. Seeings a Cfl is only worth about 5 inches of pentration 12 inches would be a lil too far away. Thanks for resorting to name calling. Have a nice day.

have to agree with him. had the same issue with mine when they were only 2 weeks old moved lights up to about 10 - 12 inches an droped my temp a few degrees. 3 weeks later my plants are little bushes, move the lights up and see if it doesnt help. i mean what can it hurt if you yourself think the plants are suffering from the same ailments as your other 3 grows.

In 6 hours its already highly noticeable. Way worse then before Might be heat stress lights are only inch awaybut temps stay low 80s and at night 78.

can you post a picture of the new problem. try bringing the light up 5 or 6 inches. your temps are pretty good. what king of soil are you using to start your seeds in? Were all of the strains you've tried in the last 3 grows the same?

There all bagseed from all diff types of bags. I listen in the first post the potting soil was Scott's. There's actually a thread stating that you can keep the cfl's a inch away and they will not burn that's why I am saying this isn't really the problem.
