oil made from everclear

lazy mans oil...... double winterized .......first batch next batch will be lite in color...leftover oil in the dish still evaporating...took about 20 gs of leftover bags in a canning jar added everclear sat in the freezer for 24 hours...strained in the freezer twice...next time only leaving for 6-8 hours..... evaporated the everclear for about 24 hoursthis was purged until the everclear was gone @100 *....5.5 gs from 20...good return.... just need less of a collection time ....stoney good tasting...don't like the black color

We cannot get that Everclear, over here in UK.
So it got me looking into the idea of a still to distil my own 190 proof alcohol.
But then I started to read about just using butane.....?

Some of the BHO Extraction video's on YouTube are very complicated and must end up costing a small fortune..

Using premium top buds plus lots of butane and bottles of Everclear (which cannot be cheap).

It must end up costing ALOT for a gram of that oil....??

nope just used everclear .....no butane.....cost $15 and 20 gs of my leftovers (free) for 5.5 grams

What color streak does it leave on white paper?

What's the black stuff?
Is that from the above pic of oil like a second run or heated or something? Sorry I'm a lil lost

Yeah these Americans are hard-core when it comes to their hash. Me? I'm a newbie hash maker who makes acceptable oil [by our standards] from crappy leaf, sugar leaf & very crappy outdoor bud. so far. I've made 12g's. One friend reckons my hash is "too strong" haha. Hope so, it's hash

All you need is ; A stainless steel tube with a ss cap at each end [with 1 x 4mm hole in 1 cap, 3-5 x 4mm holes in the other] OR a ss turkey baster. 2 cans of butane. Trim & leaf to fill your tube. 1 pyrex dish. Read the stickied HBO thread [sorry, I can make oil. I don't know how to link] And you will be smoking oil in no time. Seriously, any one with half a brain & an ounce of common sense can make oil without blowing themselves up. It's easy.

you will have better stuff if you try a couple shorter washes. I use FD's procedure and do 2 3min washes with 3 gently shakes to stir and then keep them separate the first will be golden and evap to golden oil and the second will have more chlorophyll and be a green solution and will evap to something that looks more like your first pic.

that's what im doin now it sat in the freezer for like 5 min I shook it 3 - 4 times

must of done a good job .... I can barely see the oil .....time to vac purge

Looks good I like the way it came out. How long did you put it in the vac?

only one time for 30 min ...hardly any alcohol left....nice clean taste compaired to the first extract

heres the next batch.....3 jars.... 3 separate soaks times for the same amount....keif in each batch caught in the filters.......Jar on the left was a 15 min soak ...middle 40 min soak... right will be a 6 hr soaksome blonde kief

Can't get everclear in Canada either.
I use 99% ISO from the drug store @ $6.00/L

# 1 batch...everclear almost done evaporating it has a white color to it as it evaporates all done now its time for the vac chamber ....time for batch #2 the lime green

man this stuff is weird went from this to this in about 15 min and 3 separate pulls

You can get 96% spirytus (super strong polish vodka) online.

#1 & # 2 finished

Here are a couple of examples.


Extracted w/ butane, heat water bath. Then heat purged in vac chamber at ~115 flipped a few times. (shattery at 70 deg, starts to snap at 80 deg.)
Less agitation = more transparent product.


extracted w/ butane then when still slightly liquid, add ~1 oz everclear for every gr. you expect to yeild. Freezer for 12 hrs, strain through coffee filters, then spread thin with a 50ml pour in a 13x9 dish, evap w/ fan over heat ~110 deg and scrape w/ blades. (by far the best end product I've ever tasted, sampled, seen, tried, heard about, etc. This product is also knows as 'absolute shatter')

Those are butane extracts... this thread and my products are about everclear extracts.....you've made winterized shatter

When I was using everclear for oils I would just do a one to two minute at wash, maybe just a bit longer than with iso. Otherwise you end up extracting a lot of unwanted plant waxes and chlorophyll.
