Hello, My two plants are droopy and look mag def maybe, smaller leaves yellow. Saw a gnat fly straight at the light and thought maybe thats not just a gnat.
One plant just showed her female pistils, The other I believe to be male.

I'm going to rip the male out and check the roots...But will I even be able to spot them? Both plants look to be in the same state of health. The shitty part is I just sprouted 5 high dollar seeds in the same room.

post pictures

don't kill your plant yet

for gnats you need gnatrol

don't bother looking in the roots for gnats

I'm a little paranoid about posting pics. The one plant is a male ,98% positive) So I figured I would examine the roots for RA.

If I do have them I would think I could spot em. Got super freaked out when I read this one article

waytogrow net/root-aphids-no-you-dont-just-have-fungus-gnats/

theyre not usually going to ruin your crop

gnatrol kills the larvae/eggs
azamax kills the adults

get some of the sticky fly strips and hang them around your grow

hand water in the gnatrol to each pot every 7 days fro 4 weeks

keep a spray bottle with azamax mixed... spray any adults you see daily at the soil level (not the plant)
the gnats tend to swarm at the base of the plant near the soil where they lay eggs

don't spray the azamax the same day you water in the gnatrol.... the gnatrol is an enzyme type and the azamax will work against the gnatrol

Lmk if you guys can see the pics. Takes 8-9 minutes to copy a link from photobucket. So that last post was about 30 minutes. Going to link in some more if that is working.

I sprayed some azamax just now. I hope a light mist didnt harm my 2 day old seedlings.

Couple different mold type products that treat the soil. Bonticare or OG biowar
Anyone use anything like this, just as preventive?

I saw another gnat today...looks like an every day gnat that youd see outside.
The pictures I see online of fungus gnats look kinda mosquito like

Root aphids are different and worse than gnats. Much worse.

shes very slightly over fertilized

if that's soil... just plain water for a while and don't over water

I don't think its bad enough to worry about flush... just don't give any more nutes

the second plant

is showing magnesium def
next time you water it add 1/2 tsp Epsom salt 1 x and then

in the future when you water always add 1/4 tsp Epsom salt

and you might be over watering... make sure the pots are dry between waterings

Its the same plant turned around.

I did a flush, realized roots were poking out the bottom, then xplanted. So she has had two watering that were too close. Just doesnt wanna bounce back.

I bought some cal mag and did a little foliar spray but didnt seem to help anything.

Should I get some epsom salt or would adding the calmag to my water be the same? The calmag does have nitrogen tho 2-0-0 ithink

calmag is mostly calcium

it does have magnesium... but if your magnesium def it better to use Epsom salt

calcium and magnesium compete for uptake..if your magnesium def and theres too much calcium thatll make it worse

calmag would be good if you where calcium def

the spray of calmag is likely why there so green yes, from the N

sounds like your where magnesium def from the start and needed epsom

someone said "use calmag or spray calmag" and you did! and now your plants are very green fro the N and the calmag didn't fix your magnesium issue

water with plain water and 1/4 tsp Epsom salt

tell me about your nutes so I can help you make sure there being mixed in proper ratios to you calmag and Epsom salt needs
