OgSwisher's 2012 Outdoor College Grow

Hey guys here are some new pics... Started them with some Jacks all purpose 20-20-20 they started to grow tall however they just started to flower the last few days i am a little sad about this I wanted them to get a bit bigger any ideas?

If those plants are just now starting to flower, at that size, I can't imagine you are going to get a yield that is even worth fucking with. Next time you want to use buckets like that, get the Pro-mix HP and either amend it with organics or use it "as is" with mineral-based dry hydro nutrient (i.e. MaxiGro and/or Bloom).

Ogwisher don't sweat it man, at least your going to have a general idea of how marijuana grows as you learn from this. Also try and be happy with whatever you get and don't waste any money on further amendments exclusively for this grow. Keep hitting her with the 202020 and if you get some nice days they should double in size and hopefully you'll get a half bag or so, who knows right?? maybe more maybe less. Also I've been in your shoes a couple times in my childhood/early teen marijuana growing experimental days and have obsessed and over spent on my less than fruitful grows, so I'm just trying to say don't set the bar to high on your first grow and don't over analyze every move and last but not least be Patient! Thanks! I have never messed with clones before and now I know I need more veg time... sigh but its ok... I plan on getting back on my seed game this month and should have something for the winter grow... I am happy I found out about Jacks and did not spend a bunch on money on nutes... I am going to be happy with what every these ladies decide to fork over haha now that they are flowering how much longer should I keep on em with that 20-20-20 jacks?

As others have noted, it looks as if the biggest problem was not getting the plants going earlier. I have a test clone planted outside on July 17th and it is flowering well right now, albeit at a height of only around 2'. Based on what that plant has done, I think mid-July is about the latest a plant can be set out in my area (first frost approx. 2nd week of October) and still be expected to produce some decent flowers.

I live in the desert so I can pretty much grow threw may sometimes june then stop for the 120 plus temps we get out here... I have only done seed before I tried out these clone thingsss want to go back to seed...

Ogwisher, Keep hitting it with the 20 20 20 right through to the last week or so that your going to pull them. They should only need a good week flush, as they will be maturing all through October just start flushing a week before you harvest. 20 20 20 is what I use for veg and also in bloom with only the addition of Molasses ( cause they are cheap and add 20% more bud growth, as well as extra Trics/potency apparently), and Monster Bloom ( Which I just started this year) other than that I used to always use 20 20 20. I find if you have a good brand that contains trace elements of all the other plant ingredients (other than NPK). I find it works, less is more in this hobbie, don't let people tell you that you need a hand full of different nutes it's just plain bull shit. As long as your Nutes contain the main ingredients NPK and trace elements of all the other (cal, mag etc) sources of energy/food for your plant, I know you can have a decent harvest that will rival some of the best Over fed plants out there.
