OG KUSH

Karma put a ton of work into his Josh D OG line. I actually just grew out a cross with it as a parent and the OG traits came through strong-it's definitely the terpiest strain I have right now. I really like both it and his Biker Kush. I copied this from another post here, but this is what Karma had to say about his Josh D OG line on a different forum (I love this post):

"I bred this for josh with josh help in selections.

I didnt name it. I would have preferred a differnt name.

The seeds are very worthy. I put in more then 3 damm years a lot of crops and space. And travel

The white og was a pollen donor because all is female cuts to start from. Need a male to get the ball rolling. I bred away from it in every selection and bx ore ix . Thats why i used white og as its easy for me to reconize in the offspring so i can select away from it easy.r

Simply said in one sentence would be

((TKs1BX) x (sfv x tk)BX1 IX) x HA OG BX3

But as said before its all in the selection of everystep that makes it to what it is now.

3 lines all bred separate.

1
Tk reversed and selfed by rado
I selected a female.from 10 seeds. (Won cup bcn 2014)
Crossed it with white og
Then selected a male.from that(TK dominant)and backcrossed to the selected TKs1 cut.
Making TKs1bx1
Selected a cut from that.

2
Sfv crossed with reversed tk pollen.
I selected a cut from 10 seeds.
Crossed it with my white og male.
Selected a male (sfv x tk dominant)
Backcrossed it to the sfv x tk cut i selected.
Incrossed it. Bx x Bx
Selected a male and crossed that with the selected cut of TKs1bx

Selected a cut from that. This the female in the cross.

3
Ha OG crossed with a sfv OG bx male (lucifer OG)

Ha OG x lucifer OG aka (HA OG bx1)

Ha OG x Ha OG bx1 = Ha OG bx2 (sold as biker)

Ha OG x ha OG bx2 = Ha OG bx3

Selected male from the bx3

((Tks1bx1) x (sfv x tk bx1 ix)) x Ha OGbx3

Its build up out of 3 lines i tryd to lock the genes and pheno.s i wanted. It all leans on my selections. Its called breeding. Not pollen chucking.

This is proberly the most worked line i did yet in my life. The goal was to combine these 3 old og cuts in a regular seedline, i persenoly love it. Ask josh his friends most grew it out already what the about it, growing it next to the cuts. Ore grow it yourself and have a geniun opinion.

When you know me ore josh you know we wouldnt release it if it wasnt up to standard. It would wreck both our reputations.

Im always honest and open. Wish the whole seed scene be more like that.

As you can see in my reaction i feel a bit hurt by the easy way some judge it, without even understanding what happend. Ore grown it, Its all about breeding and selections for persenol preferd genes.

Wait a few months and see more results from unbased people. Ore grow it yourself and have a real opinion on what it is nomatter what names etc.

You can have 10 companys all selling a OG x Chem writen as genetics and all be totaly differnt in that they used differnt plants.

I prefer persenol selected plants from seed over shared so called elite cuts. I rather have 100 seeds of a s1 ore better a double bx to select from than THE CUT. How do you know tha elite cit is the best that genepool has to offer ? Plant a 100 and you realy see whats in it."

I just ran the 92 OG cut I got from someone here and its a pretty nice OG. I was smoking a joint of it last night and the flavor is on point and its strong enough to where I dont need to finish the whole joint by myself. It still tastes good as a relit joint too.

Its a tough cut to find any information on, some people say it is the same cut that supakauai calls the "pre-86 crippy."

I asked Chunkypigs about it on ICmag, because he rocks the same cut and he said he got it from an East Coast grower who called it the Josh D but when he received it, it was labelled 92og. He also runs the Josh D and several other classic OG cuts and says they are all different when grown side by side. He also said the 92og cut is a bit mysterious in origin and has a lot of people scratching their heads.

The best OG cuts got infections and Dudded out of most peoples hands… that Tahoe from Progressive Options… 10/10 across the board .. potency/Flavor/yields were nice once u dialed her in … trim a pound of rock hard diamond terp bombs in few hours! My favorite thing about the real deal

Too many different stories and rumors to know who has or had the real OG kush. Just like so many strains, everyone claims they have the cut. I wouldn't pay a premium for anything. You're more than likely to just get some decent modern polyhybrid someone decided to call OG Kush.

The OG cuts got hit the hardest… all the cuts available now are nothing like the originals… I had swerves SFV and Raskals Fire OG …. Tahoe was still better
That’s the beauty of guys like csi doin the s1s. Pretty close to mom without the dudding. Lol Triangle rules the ogs, but what’s great bout the ogs and chems is how well they do mix and make good crosses.

I was going to order like 5 OG strains from The Cali Connection. Someone should make a thread for his company. When I noticed every single one of his Clone-Only OG strains were haphazardly BX'd with other OG's, I was like WTF?? Why didn't he just make tons of s1s?

I know that's what Pacific Seedbank is doing, who I've been very impressed with so far, and they're going to get my money instead..

Life's too short to be ordering five Cali Connection strains.

I just got some snips of topanga canyon pure kush I'm trying to root, i believe its the same cut as the hollywood pure kush. Once they pop roots, I'll have them tested for hlvd through tumi. Just got my vials in yesterday.

I thought the 92 og cut is the original as in Josh d's cut from way back not the josh d seedline bearing the name made by karma for josh or is there two 92 cuts ?

I’ve grown chunkys hpk and it’s most likely the tcpk. Im sure he doesn’t have the cut anymore. I’ve heard that the hpk and the tcpk were once the same cut but as of today they are not. Look at el coco nostros ig or Burt lurdsmans tcpk. It kind of looks like sour with the little leaves coming out the buds.
I’ve seen a hpk from gameover seeds that’s totally different but one things for certain is that real pk is more potent than any og even tk. I can concur since I have tk and the hpk I grew from chunky was better. Hard cut to source but it’s out there.
Skunktek did provide good og cuts all tested but sadly he don’t provide cuts no more.

Taos OG (Tahoe-area OG Kush)

All mint, gas, and funk. Super potent, it always works. Incredible medicinal value. I've heard of this strain being good for recovering addicts and I believe it.

It has superior frost and mold resistance. It is very easy to trim and the buds come out huge, dense, and clustered up and down the stalk. The colas get as big as your leg. It has a never-ending zig-zag growth pattern that is very unique.

This is the most commercial-oriented plant I have ever encountered. It is easily still the best thing I've ever grown. It will express terpenes and overpower all the other plants in my garden at 8400ft, high altitude, short season with very cool nights and up to mid 90F during the day. It eats up the intense sunshine here at altitude (low latitude).

I do not believe this is the same cultivar as the Tahoe OG that is circulated today. This plant has no citrus/lemon flavor and that seems to be what sets all of the West Coast OGs apart. I have also never seen a report about how hearty any of those OGs are when grown in a challenging environment. I am interested in comparing directly some day.

This plant came to me from a hippie grower from just north of Taos New Mexico near the Lama Foundation (Ram Dass commune operating since the early 70's). Taos has been a hotbed of growing activity since the original artist invasion of the 1930's, and then solidified during the 60's and 70's. I received this OG cut 11 or so years ago and it had been here for years before that. It came as "OG Tahoe" or "Tahoe OG", but as I said, it is very different. It makes me wonder about the exact lineage because I have heard that the OG Kush originated in that area.

Anyway, this is a special plant and I have been grateful to have for the past decade. It has got me through some hard times for sure.
