OG 18 lost something ??

Hi folks, im about to harvest some (RP) p-wrecks, pretty satisfied with how they came out, and im choosing what to ngrow next...As i wanted a good seed representation of OG (im searching some smelly tasty og, not very iterested on the yield) i thought to go with a pack of 18 (i cannot do massive pheno hunt due to my restricted spaces), but i was reading somewhere in the forum that new og 18 stock not being as good as the beans released in the past years...Maybe someone who has recently grown the strain can give his opinion on that ? Comments, suggestions even on other seeds are welcome !

I just finished an OG#18 for my last grow, and I have to say that it is probably my favorite strain that I have grown so far. The quality was top shelf without a doubt. It was very stinky and smelled like sweet n sour fuel with some skunk as well. The taste was very similar as well. This shit will knock you on your ass. The yield left something to be desired for me though. Excellent strain as far as quality goes though! I absolutely loved this strain. I bought a 6 pack and only grew the 1 out. It was over the summer and my temperatues were extremely high in my grow. I think this caused my #18 to hermie on me. I ended up getting about 20-30 seeds off of about 35 grams of bud. I was actually happy about the seeds, because I liked the strain so much. Lol! I will grow it again, and I would recommend it to anyone. I got one of the bad phenos. It actually yielded pretty well. Problem was, what it yielded was some really hairy, airy buds with little to no trich development. Smelled like a dirty clothes basket with clothes sitting for a few months. I am going to give it another try at some point but I seriously cant see why I would spend money on the OG 18 over almost any OG from Cali Connection.

I agree with u 100%!! I've grown out RP OG#18 three or four times and don't get me wrong it good smoke but it don't even come close to anything I've grown from Cali connection. If your set on RP gear I'd go with there Sour Kush instead. Way better then the 18. I just picked up some Skywalker OG. Can't wait to see how it compares to my CC 818 Headband.

Rp sour kush is dank! That's one strain I always liked but never got back to ordering it again.. I've seen some pretty good hybrids with the 18 like the holy grail,kosher,chocolope kush,skywalker etc I'd say you have to just pick because a lot of breeders are coming with some og's.. Cali connections Tahoe og, Larry og , raskals og top og's I've had th pleasure of growing from seed..

Wow you bought 3-4 packs and found no real keepers ?? Theese cc beans seem intersting too what strain would u suggest for that lemon fuel OG taste ??

I ve watched for the skywalker too, but seen some grows ending with very different phenos and some of them going for like 13 weeks...I ve even read somewhere i dont remember at the moment that the sour kush now is bubba kush x sour d....maybe they really lost their 18 cut or meybe its just BS...However how does the hb compare to the cc strain u reported ?

Look into Og Rascal Seeds or Rare Dankness Seeds.

Well skywalker og is a sativa Dom og and og 18 is a og. Og's usually take 9-10 weeks to flower so the longer pheno wouldn't surprise me. I doubt they lost the 18 cut and if they did they still got their og and a bunch s1s of it

I would look into them 2 as well. Not really a fan of raskals but rd's og im growing now and I can't wait to see what I ger

Was the same for me. I now switched to the DNA Lemon OG.

Thanks for the info guys i ended up grabbing some bodhi's goji !

Go with the Cali Connection Tahoe OG S1's ( fems) they are a way better og seed.

I've grown out last season the Larry OG from CC and it was stable, pretty identical plants, stinky and sticky, best bag appeal Ive ever seen, huge dense nugs but the smoke isn't that impressive, average at best

I would change my mind. I grew out 1 og kush 18 and it was pretty terrible. Nothing like any OG I have ever come across.

Yeah, I've read pretty good staff about OG#18. Would anybody knows if its a Sativa or an Indica hybrid?

I have been growing og18 for awhile now an all my patients love the pheno that I have much better than my other og's the high an the taste is a lot chem dawg than gee. But I have been reading that the new stock of seeds are not as good as the old stock but that's just my 2 cents

i ordered my seeds around 4/20/2012 and will be popping a pack in a month. what should i expect? i popped a seed when i first got the pack and it was a triploid. was cool! i thought it hermed on me and gave it away only to find i was wrong bout the herm. 5 left till next month...

I grew out the freebie from the past March promo, just to try it one more time...
It was definitely better than the first I grew out, but still not what I expect from OG at all. This was more of a chem/earthy smell/taste with just the slightest hint of lemon pinesol in the exhale.
