finished the stadium, lights, scrubber, fans, vents everything minus the co2, running some temp test over the next couple days, couldnt get a decent pic of the room with the hps on my phone cam got a bunch of bars across the screen when it "sees" the hid lights, will try tommarow during the day, its sweet tho!!

what i do is use your finger to block out the light and it will give you a better shot...

oh wow...i always thought about using cool tubes.. for the lightsw...but i need the heat right now to heat my space....looks very tight...are those 2 by 8s or 2 by 6s you using forthe shelfs... whats yoour hight spacing for each rack and how high is your last one off the ground? and are you keeping to Northernfarmers 6.5 feet max spacing for side to side?.. are those botton shelfs spaced out more in the pic or does it just look like it?
im using blocks for my platform and im finding that i cant bring in the shelfs enought to make them at a higher degree of a V.... i put a mark on your pic to show what im talking about...if all the side wood peices are the same..you can simply side the selfs closer the the one below it..i can almost do that with mine but its too hard not having anything i and brace the sides with... good luck and ill ge watching...

assuming you have an exaust fan pulling air through the lights, one light will be hotter then the other. you will have different temps and hot spots in different area of your grow space. i would use a Y duct hooked up to the exaust fan connect both cool tubes and have a passive intake on the oppisite ends of the cool tubes. good luck, peace and happy growing

my bottom shelves are 2' apart, so the middle is 4', and the top is 69" apart, yes 2x8" i picked them up by mistake, and the shelf racks are scrap pieces I had left over (trying to save every last cent, freakn jew!!) so if it ends up I need to move closer I have clamps on standby, note one on the other side of the pic, lol but the bottom is 9.5" off the floor and the rest are 10" specs I got off HBR.

I have an 8" fan pulling thur 6" duct, my intake is pulling in cool air from outside, and yes one tube is cooler and I am noticing hot spots in the room but the range is only 2-4 degrees nothing I'm no worried about, I have this closed off from the room in order to use co2 and not suck my co2 out while im cooling my lights, now I can have the light fan run the whole time the lights are on and use the scrubber to vent for smell and bring AC into the room as needed. with less work than than y and filters on the ends of both cool tubes, I can hold each tube in my hand with the lights on for 12hrs! I will need a humidifier tho, thats why im running it for a week without plants to work it out with out damaging my babies too much!

Natural if you want to have more vert you could cut wood pieces for the ends
place them on the cinderblocks-and "they" will act as your racks then place your benches on them
then you can slide the benches anwhere along the end boards.
Cant wait to see this baby goin! i just transplanted my clones today and in two days its sexy time!

no there cool tubes my buddy had all manufactured, the came with a small fan an reflectors but i took all that crap off. I saw the plans for the bake arounds and if i need more tubes in the future thats what I'm going to do. so far my temp reads are up and down the scale on the lower shelves i get 78-80, on the middle closest to the lights, 85-87, top shelves 80-82 inbetween the lights i get 80-83 its funny but it seems that when the scubber comes on it makes the room hotter, and i'm running at night to use the cool nite air to cool the tubes, still working out the kinks should be putting babies in next week!

oh nice...you think that 2K power is goonna cut it.. im running 3 k on a 8.5 footers and northern farmer was running 4 ks on a 10 footer....i will be watching cus... dam if this works good i could make 4 of these where im at..and put them all on movers.... good luck ...

well its not that I think the 2k will cut it , more I wanted to see a lower electric bill until I have my off grid power up and running, then I plan on adding a few more lights for sure, I'm about max out on the bill without raising eyebrows down at the ol utility comp right now.

In the 4th pic you have a little blade on the table with a safety bar attached can you please tell me what that type of blade is called please.here we go this attempt to do a DIY and actually post the instructions, lol
If there are tons of these I apologize I do know a couple people wanted me to do this so here you go.
First off I'd like to say I actually f'd this up and had to make a 3rd trap, larger because I didnt do my math correctly and ended up with 2 traps that were half the size i needed, so here it is MEASURE TWICE CUT ONCE!! The rule is your intake should be twice the size of your exhaust, my exhaust is 6in vortex fan so my intake should be at least 12in. I used foamcore because 1. I have a tent made of plastic film and wood studding, 2. I have foamcore laying around because I use it as a canvas for airbrushing, you could use wood or metal if you so choose to and have the skills to work such material.
What I needed was a 12in hole, what I made ended up being a 6in hole because after putting the baffles together, I had made them too small thinking that a 6in vent was what i was making. But I was making a 3inx3in opening with the measurements I was using. You will end up cutting out 7 pieces in total the size you want them depends on the size you need but 2 make it easy use a number you can half easily so if you need some off number just round it up to the next number you can half easily here is why,
the 2 pieces you put in the middle are called the baffles, they are what block the light but also restrict your airflow, so what you have to do is find a number ( my correct number should have been 14inx14in face with a 10inx10in center vent hole)
i used an 8inx8in square with a 6inx6in squared centered on it, with 2in vents cut into the center square
you cut 4 pieces for your sides that form a box frame, here i used 3inx6in pieces, i used 1in for my center line for the bottom baffle (i should have just went center here, 1 1/2in) here you see the sides and bottom plate with the bottom baffle from overhead
Here is the top plate and the top baffle (here I should have just made a 90 with these pieces, I should have just went flush with the top baffle to the back of the top plate, here it is 1in of the end)
Here is a pic of both traps front and back, as you can tell my exit hole is really small it is 2inx6in (the problem here is that both traps together are 4inx6in and the baffles are further restricting the airflow because i didnt center the bottom baffle and flush the top baffle) also if you notice the pic above the bottom baffle was to small and let light out I had to go back and make it 2/3 the size of the vent hole the 1st was 3inx6in I went back and put a 4inx6in baffle in it and made the top baffle the same size as well
Here is the pic of the larger one I had to make with all the adjustments mentioned above, sorry for the lack of pics but I was busy and this took longer than I had expected so I didnt have the time to keep stopping to take pics here my face is 14inx14in with a 10inx10in vent hole, 5inx10in sides with 5inx10 1/2in top&bottom plates with baffles 7inx5in centered on the bottom and flush on the top
Here is a pic of the traps on the inside of the tent , TAKE NOTE OF THE BLUE LINE THATS THE ZIPPER IN THE NEXT PIC (the other smaller trap is on the same wall as this small one just out of the frame)
And heres proof they work, THE WHITE LINE IS THE ZIPPER FROM THE OUTSIDE THE TENT. THE ONLY PLACE WHERE YOU CAN SEE LIGHT!!!THIS SHOT IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF ONE ABOVE IT JUST FROM OUTSIDE THE TENT,
I found out I had made the traps too small when i cut them in and zipped up the tent with me inside it, the floor started to rise up, and I heard plastic popping of staples the wood was stressing and I knew the holes were too small!!!! whipped out the tape measure and after the adreniline wore off I knew I had used the wrong measurements so off to make another larger one and to mod these because I could see light from the top vent, but now with 3 in place and the door zipped up its just rite, serious airflow, good temps and humdity!!
I feel good about this one!!
I understand it seems like a silly question but the all the blades Ive come across on ebay & at the local hardware store are all for craft knives & handy knives they never have the safety bar.

um it is kinda strange only in that its just a razor blade, to be more specific its a safety blade, but it very common where I live. so i have to ask where do you live, US or abroad?
