Off the Grid

When the children get thru playing. Maybe we can get back to my post.
In short I only have 4 deep cycle batteries now. I can run 12 volt lights and fans all day. If I turn on 4 security cams , 1 dvr and one 50" tv . with an engine running at idle turning the alternator which is putting out 13 + volts. Just the tv, security cam and dvr drain the power running the invertor in about twenty mins. . I would like to run that plus the 5 - 400w hid's, the 4- 2' flourescent lights and a 2hp electric motor on my compressor feeding air to the growing system. Which I have turned down to from 10 pnds pressure at turn on to 40 pnds pressure at shut off. I'm using two different 5000w invertors. I'm thinking I don't have enough battery or a big enough alternator to charge the batteries fast enough. I would like to get off the grid all the way by producing enough to also run two more TVs. 2 refrigerators and the washer and dryer. Not all at the same time . But at least the security and grow setup. Not depending on power companies. Storm outages and rolling blackouts happen too often. If I could take care of that much, I could have a backup system waiting in case my generator system breaks down.
You watch too much TV, that's eating a lot of power
