Of course the Civil war and the Confederate flag was not about slavery

My local taxes take care of that. Get it? LOCAL taxes.
I have fire ins. but just got a bill for $150 from the state because I live near a National Forest. How is that fair when the majority of fires are started by folks just passin thru...........

Yeah, i don't understand it either. Do people living in the city get extra bills because of the higher crime rate?

Well of course a small municipality will take the funds if they're available. That's how the state and federal government gets their hooks into local politics. Which is the problem i would like to see an end to.

In the end, nice deflection.
What deflection
Do you concede I am right?
You should
And I still dont want to pay for your roads

But i still do

That goes against self-preservation imo. Giving your money away for something that you don't want.

i concede federal money gets used locally but we could manage just fine without it. If people, as a society, weren't so willing to have someone "care" for them.

But you see, you have uncovered yet another problem with your magical world Rob. Definition, specificaly the definition of harm. If Ches sees insult as harm then who is to say he is incorrect? You? And if you maintain that you didn't harm him but he says you did, who's right and who arbitrates what is right?
A harm would result in an event where actual damage took place, so that restitution can occur. For instance I break your window. I fix or pay to fix your window. Making faces or hurting somebodies feelings or committing a fashion crime are difficult to restitute.

you intend then to buy 1/10000th of a tank, 1/100000000th of a war plane, pay for the salary of a fraction of one soldier and the like. This is what you propose. Kinda hard to keep track of don't you think? and which things would you buy? how would you even know what to purchase?
Are you 1/10000th responsible for the death "your" tank brings to others ?

I dont want to pay for the road in front of your house either
It is likely you don't. Many roads are paid for thru property taxes or at the state level. Of course roads could easily be paid for by a use fee or if you insist on a fuel surcharge that more or less allocates cost according to use.

The reality is "federal money" is taken from local people everywhere. When they "give" states money, they must by definition take more from everybody. No free lunch from the Feds.

Don't forget that the Federal Reserve can and does also print tons of cash and creates more and more debt and we all know how that game works between the Fed and the Feds. And people continue to buy into it.
