Odor control with baking soda.

I was wondering if i can use Arm and Hammer baking soda to obsorb the odor during flowering stage as opposed to using a carbon filter, because im only growing 1 plant im thinkin a filter wont be necessary. Any1 ever used baking soda for the odor? how effective is it? any tips on odor control appreciated. TY

i open up the top on the powder you sprinkle on your carpet and its working for 4 plants 6 weeks into flowering and its working fine so far.
