For the record, I'm not a supporter of either presidential candidate.

Questions I have:
Why do all/most Americans care about how much money the other candidate makes/has?
How is it relevant to anything?
Is it going to somehow benefit you by knowing how much money your president or soon to be president makes?
Does it somehow make you a better American/president if you pay more taxes or know how to handle money?<
^Why is it that whenever your looking for a job that most employers do a credit check? It doesn't matter if you are bad with money, it doesn't mean you are more likely to steal.

We all make mistakes as we are growing up and shouldn't be punished for doing so. ^Yes, I am aware that is a quote from, 1 Corinthians 13:11.

Your post is what is pissing me off about this election, while we have morons running around whining about taxes and religion much more important things are being ignored. I don't care for either candidate but I would like to see them talk about something with some kind of fucking relevance to what is going on right now. Instead we get bombarded by stupid shit like spray on tans. People forget that it's important for the races to be close, it forces politicians to take stands and we truly get to see some character.

SGT, I am not interested in how much money a candidate makes or made. What interests me more is how he treats that money. Romney's caginess about his tax returns strongly suggests to me that he has something to hide. However, it is not a factor in how I'll choose to vote. cn

I can understand how wanting to know exactly who is running your country if they are acting shady. But in the end he ended up giving up a portion of his returns. Whether or not he only paid 13% it was a crazy amount of money to pay out. I know that if I ever do become that wealthy, I will try and find whatever deductions I can to make it where I can pay a lesser % rate also. If giving to charity does that. So be it. If I need to bend the law to get back more money, so be it. I'll do whatever it takes to either keep or get back as much as possible.

My so called insult that you are speaking of in no way should have made you react in the way you did and the post you made. I am well within my right and completely justified on reporting you for that post and you know it. If you want to go back and fourth with me that's fine. When you try and bring something in to it like you did because you're an addle-brained, Obama loving zombie trollop and you should go sit in a corner and think about what you've done.:dunce:

And if you did all these things, would you also publish your returns? I would think yes. Romney is running for office and still trying to act like a private citizen. Jmo. cn

At least I chose to do the right thing.

True. Like I said, I understand you wanting to know about someone acting suspicious. I'm getting to the point where I don't even care about who is elected anymore. We are going to be screwed either way.

There is that. My apathy was rustled by canndo's observation that the single biggest consequence of a Presidential election is having a say in who nominates Supreme Court justices. Those guys have power and no term limit. cn
