Received my order from herbies today 8 days from confirmation and was surprised to find my ace Malawi mix both have extra seed in each stoked, bring on next year! Still no sign of a harvester yet I keep telling myself every other year it's end of April they roll through, every morning I get up 30 mins earlier check for them working it takes over a day to harvest the whole block so plenty of time to grab them.

Few people must've been desperate around my way. Been getting the littlest buds and I'm guessing it's coz they couldn't wait. I'm gonna harvest first week of April regardless should have some alright buds by then!

Went to check/stake some of the girls before any weather from that cyclone up in Vanuatu arrives, last year i had a couple of girls eat the dirt because I didnt pay enough attention to weather.
Lookin good for an april harvest as most plants are 3-4weeks into flower. Took a couple of sample buds as its so dry in my area, hate to do it but happy to have smoke.

Do you guys remember the plant that died from underwatering/vine hoppers? Well the other looks like it barely survived a possum attack. As you can see the bloody prickle bush seems to be loving life from all the goodies in the runoff of my unused test fabric pot.

DSC01784.JPG DSC01785.JPG

Might still get a little off it. Blah... this spot was stink this year and I will have to cage any plants I put in this spot in the future, not the greatest but it will do.

Hope everyone is all sorted and prepared for harvest, I know im a bit nervous about my first year drying out,,, stay tuned!

Peace!

Sweet mate you've got yourself a killer CC pheno  Yeah they've gotten big now, ill be very surprised if they haven't started flowering by now ill see in a few days though. Im very surprised about the Panama though man I dunno why they're both flowering lol Im quite happy they started though becasue I might actually get a real nice finish! Purple pheno is stunning and smells amazing I was reading that dubi said the purple pheno was quite rare so he never really talked about it which is kinda cool and supposed to be the most sativa leaning which makes sense because it has very thin leaves. Im gonna knock back the N with the Panamas they're green as f I might miss a feed they should be fine. Ha true so the cold nights or mornings will snap a plant into flowering? Does it realize it better reproduce?

Asshole hoppers lol I got a few aswell on my PDC. Should be some interesting heads on the OE x BD13! Shit man im surprised that the CC got that big for a reveging plant, good shit. You should put some out early next year man you could yeild nice as. I like the structure its like ball shape with nice even tops like the medical growers do in their back yard haha Damn that's cold for up your way we've had relatively cool nights aswell with average days but some good weathers on its way. Im very impressed with the taskenti its been growing in the nearby silty river soil which isnt actually to bad and not sandy but its outgrown almost all of the plants that i used compost and better soil with so top marks for it, this thing has potential for a massive yield id say if this thing was done properly you could easily pull a pound like an afghani. Cant wait for flowering!

Youl figure them out man their must be a plant the hoppers hate? You could make a extract of that plant and spray that, maybe chilli? Nah I dunno but you never know lol Your dead right the Taskenti is very bug resistant and only attracts good bugs like preying mantises. Its had them on it since it was two weeks old right up until now which is pretty out of it maybe its the terpene profile?
What a good fella sending you Malawi seeds :) Im just feeding transition gunao which is half nitrogen and half phosphorous as top dressing every 1 - 2 weeks and with nitrosol when I water but im cutting back the nitrogen a bit now especially with the Panama this far in already but yeah I wanna phase it out by mid march. I also fed a little potash which also has sulfur in it which will get them going in terms of potassium until mid march. Once I can confirm they're all in flower I can start to make a better plan. Wish I could clone this purple Panama its beautiful and already has resin on her I also think its a shorter flowering pheno which would be killer indoors.
Hey man hows it going? sorry for the late reply, haven't had access to internet for awhile.
Shit that purple Panama is crazy! wish you'd taken cuts off it. I bet it'd run mint inside too being so early compared to the rest of the Panama phenos. Yeah I've knocked off all N now and just feeding straight volcano bat guano from Earth Juice - it's bloody amazing!.
Been back to your plants lately? how much into flower are they?. Mine are quite far in now with only a few weeks max from harvest bar the CC.

The Confidor/neem application has knocked the hoppers back enough, not a full scale attack now. Some really interesting flowers on the BD13 X OE. Cotton Candy had a few little budrot spots from the rain but nothing to worrying, one or 2 tiny on the Black Domina G13 but that's cause it's in a spot that drys out later in the morning - absolutely none on the BD/OE plants, really impressed with the rot resistance.

Weathers been pretty normal for this time of year, some shit days and some excellent days, what's it been like down there?. much rain?.
Be interesting to see what this cyclone brings but shouldn't be too bad where I am.

How far into flower are your ones? seems to be normal flower time this year up here with really solid resinous buds which is the usual for mid march with indica/sativa hybrids. Fuck the volcano bat is tearing it up, absolutely boosted the plants in the last 3 weeks. Really impressed with this stuff. Have you noticed the soil is a lot better and more conditioned? the soil around the middle of the seed plot is real nice and silky.
Can't wait to see your next update.

Some random yellowing on 3 branches only on the front plant. Should be done mid april if holds out to rot

Black Domina x G13 - Solid big buds more than I expected, pics dont really do it justice for how big they are(about 3 finger)

Update:

(Black Domina x G13) x Orient Express(Ace seeds)

Part 1 of 2 - so many pics to upload I can't be fucked doing it all tonight.
Group shot:
DSC02847.JPG

Pheno 1 - Big long cola heavy producing Orient express pheno, short internode spacing.
DSC02812.JPG
DSC02815.JPG
DSC02814.JPG

Pheno 2 - short plant, compact massive flowers. I suspect a strong chinese influence coming through on this but the Black domina present in the terpenes for sure.

Sweet thats half of it or a 1/3 lol. Some real interesting phenos. One of the best potential strain/line I've worked with. Solid fast yielding bud rot resistant resinous strain.

Cheers
Crazykiwi.

Look to Neem Oil for a great defense or 10% bleach to a bucket of warm water as an all out assault on mildly affected heads,
for those that are worse look to carefully snipping of the affected bud and bury in the ground

good luck

Cheers guys,

pretty sure it's not a nute deficiency, all the other plants are fine and have had the same feeding. only 3 branches on the CC front plant. Pretty sure it's from the vine hoppers.

The plants should hold out to rain, it's only when there's no wind and the rain sets in hard for a week or more you've got to worry.
not much of a cyclone where I was, can already see blue skys and the weather looks to be mint from tomorrow onward.

I'm in a predicament harvesting cause I'm away for the roar for 10 days from 27th-6th and it looks like the seed plants will be finished off definitely by the 3rd.

Will chuck some more pics up later.

Orient Express sativa leaning pheno 2 - 13/03

Quite a solid yielding pheno, yellow lower leaves from vine hoppers.

Black Domina x G13/ dutch hybrid indica leaning pheno. only one that the orient express didn't dominate too much.
Smaller more solid buds, the last to start flowering.

Compilation of Orient express sativa phenotypes.

Sorry for spam of pics but I'm sure you all don't mind

Earth Juice's Volcano bat and Sunleaves Mexican bat guano kicks ass!, so much better than that chemical crap!!. Some of the best vegetative and flowering performance I've seen on seed plants.

Orient Express is a beast of a breeding tool. Similar looking flowers to Malawi on some phenos.
