Nutrient Deficiency?

Just took this one out of it's humidity dome a week ago but it's shown yellow spots in between the veins on the newer leaves. You can see it pretty clearly in the pictures, but it seems to look worse in person.

I'm growing in soil (cactus mix with extra perlite), and I water with room temp, brita filtered tap water that sits out for a few days. I've given it nuts once, half strength 12-4-8 all purpose miracle grow. I've also foliar fed a couple times with 1/4 strength in the last week. It's under 2 26 W 6400K CFLs that are maybe 1/2 - 3/4 foot away.

Does the Cactus mix have Calcium and Magnesium ? The fact that you are supplying near RO water and using Miracle-Grow GP formula, there is no source of Cal/Mag. Miracle-grow depends on the Cal/Mag to be supplied by the tap water! Also check that PH,

theres like no soil in them pots.. they might be getting root bound.. your pot is only half full?

I'd agree with patlpp. Definitely that fourth picture - light yellow between veins = Mg def. That's what mine did, got some Cal-Mag Plus from the hydro store, all better.

Oh, yeah, I'd recommend against the MG ferts.

Thanks all. I'll get some Cal-Mag right away and check the pH. I'm also repotting it into a bigger pot this weekend.

like LAX said.. def add more soil. you want to give the roots area to grow! leaves and roots. leaves and roots.
