Nutrient Deficiency - Low ppm run off

How much should the runoff from my plants drop by in E.C?

I'm watering in 8 gallon pots with coco-perlite mix using canna coco nutes and cali magic with a total E.C of 1.2 which I have increased from 0.9 because my plants were suffering from deficiencies.

When I tested the runoff the E.C was 0.6, and at a PH of 5.9.

I water with an E.C of 1.2 and a PH of 5.5 so I think the PH seems fine but thought the E.C of the runoff was low.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

There is no answer to your question because it varies. You want to be wary of your run off being higher than your nute solution because that is a sign that your medium is filling up with salts and needs to be flushed out a bit.

Ok fair enough, but if my runoff is half of the input is that usual amount of uptake considering Im seeing deficiencies in the plants?

if the uptake was balanced with the input then the runoff would be equal, would it not?

8 gallon pots? Id say aim for a ppm of around 700 in late veg and 9ish in bloom. Also if your low in nutes so your noticing yellowing, ya might want to run longer with the veg nutes into bloom if you usually switchem at flip.

Yeah 8 Gallon smart pots.

700ppm runoff? At the moment I'm at 300ppm runoff lol. Looks as though I am causing the deficiencies by under-feeding them. Plants are about 3 foot tall and have yellowing and curling and lower leaves drying up and dying. I haven't grown in hand watered coco pots before but was planning on doing the usual and running veg nutes until I start to see pistols then change to bloom nutes and HPS lighting.

if you put in a ppm of 0500 test the run of and it is say 0200ppm you know the plant is taking up 300ppm so next time feed the with a ppm of 300 to save nute waste

what im saying is whatever the ppm run of is thats nutes wasted as the plant dont need them aslo the nutes your using may not have all trace element in them so will give you a true ec ppm reading but the plant my be suffering nitrogen diff or mag diff

No 700 going into the top of the pot in veg and 9ish in flower. I finnished six and a half footers and never watered in over 1000. Green till chop.
