Depends on the strain. Some are more sensitive that others. At 4 wks of veg i was hitting my ak47 with AN nutes at 120% of recommended strength. They loved it... but white russian (which is ak47 crossed with white widow) started to burn at bit at 80% at the same stage.

So.... you have to figure it out on your own... and it depnds what nutes youre using too...

There's a many things that can affect PPM .
1. Water ( base PH and PPM from source )
2. Medium ( PH and PPM - Super soil , etc.)
- Are you soil , soilless , hydro grow ? -
3. Total PPM of feed nutes , are adding supplements on top of that ?
( like cal mag , boosters , micros , blood meal , etc. )

Most super soils can provide good starting nutes up to week 4 , then start a 1/4 to 1/2 strength FIRST feed to determine how well plant will tolerate. Then as grow continues you can adjust .

The primary food delivery system is water, and the plants use a process called “osmosis” to make it happen. The plants pull in nutrients through their roots and the nutrient levels are balanced in the water that’s in the plant and the water that’s around the roots. All the nutrients are absorbed through the external water, and the plant discharges waste (salts). Plants use the same “don’t-shit-where-you-eat” logic that we do, meaning that it’s important to understand how many and what nutrients are in the water.

The ppm is determined by the size, age, and overall health of the plant. Over many weeks they get acclimated to nute levels and can safely handle higher and higher levels. Also the strain is also a factor in ppm levels , as some seem to tolerate higher levels.
Less is more - You can't force feed your plants , they uptake only what they need.
