Nutes question!?

Hey guys. Unfortunately like many other newbs i jumped on the MG band wagon. So 2 of my girls are in just the potting soil MG. But they seem to be doing great. I'm about a week into flowering, and want to start feeding them. I've read a lot and decided to get some Jacks blossom booster. But i was wondering if i feed them 1/4 strength (like everyone says) will they be overfed with the nutes already in the MG??
Please help! Thanks a bunch.

I would say before you add any outside nutes you should flush the soil very good before adding nutes to the water.

Next time you need to water:
1. submerge the pot in plain, PH adjusted water up to the top lip (before it flows over into the pot).
2.Hold there untill you see the top of the soil get moist.
3.Pull pot out of water, and allow all water to drain from the drain holes(you'll notice the water has a tint to it, this is the nutes washing out of the soil.)
4. Repeat untill water run out is clear.

When they dry out and need another drink, mix up 1/4 strength nutes to a gallon of water, and add to the soil.

def flush ur plants cuz nute burn is a bitch... then you might be safe to add ur Jacks... remember to flush the pot three x its size or NOT what ever u wanna do..gl

Thanks a lot guys. Do you think its better just to not feed them? This is my first grow and i don't want to f it up at this point in the game. Let me know what your suggestions are. Thanks!

I *like* MG soils.

If you x-planted before flowering and used the MG (the 3-month feeding style) Don't feed them. Do give them a *single* feeding of a bloom booster (something like a 3.40.3) at about week 5 or 6.

(I, personally, use epsom salt 1 table spoon per gal and molasses at same rate each watering. Your mileage may vary)

Oh, flushing doesn't work with the prills (the built in nutes) in the MG soil. It can make things worse. Use as directed.

sounds good. I'm thinking ill start with even a weaker dose at first, see how they react. I def dont want to get nute burn.

So i'm thinking at around week 3 flowering give maybe an 1/8 strength of bloom booster. Then let them react to that, then increase to maybe 1/4 the following week?

Does this sound reasonable?
Thanks guys/girls.

A bloom boost isn't supposed to be used throughout the flowering stage.
A bloom nute, yes. If you have wicked high P, its a boost (x-40-x)

Remember, with nutes, less is more. Better off under then over.
Which MG soil? They are typically a bit hot to begin with (and stay that way for a couple/few months)

I gave a *single* full strength shot of GH's Kool Bloom at week 5 or 6 and only then. Then back to just water (and molasses & Epsom salt. My strain likes the Epsom salt)

We are 2 weeks into flowering, i'll post pics in a day when i fix my camera. But!!! Pretty sure both of them are females! :) Thanks again bro.
