nutes for heavier yields

Hi Im new to RIU but I have a question for anyone that can help me out. I have a 400 w/hps Im useing general hydroponics 3 part grow micro bloom w/ liquid kool bloom and diamond nectar in a dwc/ bubble buckete temp stays between 80-90 degrees maybe a little higher on a hot day. My buds are usualy real strong but I never seem to get the rock hard buds that the seed bank discription claims I do tend to get close to the top end of the weight but they are sponge like and some what thin what can I do to bulk them up a bit. I just turned over a crop of diesel ryder that was said to be a max of 50 g per plant and got 1.75 oz.but i feel like the buds should have been considerably more dence any help would be greatly appriciated .bongsmilie

You can try using a high P K fert in the middle of your flower cycle, also "boost" type ferts work well by helping the plant to use the nutrients to max potential and making things better available to the plant when it needs them. Molasses is supposed to be good for bulking up also. There are many products and methods to add weight and density just have a search round, get your google on :)

Your temps are on the high side. Get those down to the 70-80*F range before you make any tweaks anywhere else. You need to get that environment 'dialed in'.

Or you can start to think about co2 or both.. but co2 does work 'better' at warmer temps. What about humidity?

I don't know that strain or other restrictions but out of a 400 watt you should be getting much more then that. Is your area very short or small? From something like Grand Daddy Purple I was getting almost 2oz a plant and that's a small yielding plant.

Hey thanks for the feed back every one, bigair I'm sorry but you lost me. eDude the humidity is average I think, it stays at the same level as the rest of the house untill I close the door, then it getts a little sticky during the sleep cycle. I could probably run fans at night to help that a little. Diesel ryder is a NYC Diesel x Lowryder auto, it stays real short and an automatic flowering strain mine started flowereing on a 24 hour cycle at 31 days so i switched it to 20/4 for the rest of the cycle. It turned out to be 1'6" tall and about 3' from 1 side to the other and produced 1.75 oz. of some nice ass grass, it wasn't the most trichome covered bud I've grow but it does the trick in a big way, 68 days from sprout to harvest. I like being able to take clones so I don't realy do autos but I was curious. I've got moby dick going now and it has more trics at 5 weeks then DR had at finish I want this to be as heavy as i can make it with a 400 I'll try the molasses. its not the same as you get at the grocer is it?

KoolBloom is a bloom booster.

Light strength adds to bud density..... also temps play a role....

Personally I would say ur nute's seem fine. Molasses really only tends to help if you alot of micro life, as they eat the sugars in the molasses and put off plant useable extretions.

Light strength, water/air temp, would be the 2 strongest points in getting a more solid dense bud.

After that I reccomend a product called gravity by Emerald Triangle/Humboldt County's Own. This is a flower hardener.
