Nutes and flushing

Hi everyone.

I recently harvested a very small bubbleponic grow and it tasted beyond awful. I flushed for a solid two weeks changing the water every other day. I'm thinking it could be the nutes i was using that left a bad taste even after flushing. They were the general hydroponics that come with their water farm kits. I have since switched to advanced nutrients sensi bloom and grow. The only reason i think it could be the nutes is a previous harvest of a different strain tasted the same - crappy. I have already noticed a difference in the smell of the flowers and am hoping it will resolve the terrible taste. Has anyone else had similar problems and what was the solution? Longer flushing, maybe? Any help would be awesome since i feel like im just wasting my time right now growing stuff that tastes like what i imagine carpet fibers taste like.

Proper curing is what makes taste and takes at least 30 days

Did you cure em???

I never flush before harvest and my buds taste great I also use chemical nutes till the end

I don't like to flush either, I feel it's only necessary if you overfeed your girls during the grow.

My last harvest I used GH flora series and Lucas Formula, I had solid results. My last batch is properly cured now, and it smells and tastes absolutely delightful, though it does have a bit of a typical hydro taste.

If you're looking to make a switch, I'm two weeks into flower using Dyna-Gro two part veg/flower and I have every reason to suspect this harvest is gonna blow away the last one. The girls are developing noticeably faster, they smell stronger, and they spit out pistils a full week and a half earlier then the last round! :bigjoint:
