Nute burned flowering white widows!! Collapsed trichomes????

Joti,
It isn't the Kool Bloom that burned them...it was the total PPM. Creep up slowly. Apparently they are nute sensitive. Flora series? Yes that series has a hard water micro so you should be good with what you're doing. WW are Mg hogs and you would be seeing symptoms for sure if your nutes were lacking. Just because the trichs disappeared doesn't mean that the THC did. Why don't you clip a bud and sample it.

I have, and it's pretty good. But the trics are still 100% clear; some of the pistil are amber. One of the large colas on top has some brighter green new growth, it doesn't appear to be a seed pod, there's no signs of hermying - just stalled-out plants. They're drinking over a gallon of water daily, but don't seem to be taking up any nutes. The ppm's of my buckets are always higher, then when I add more water, the ppm's pretty much go back to where I had them.

Joti,
I just read a comment by a member about his White Widow. He said it could handle 850ppm and burned bad over 900ppm. I just thought that info might be useful to you. I grew WW years ago but don't recall the nute strength.

I think you should ease a little Kool Bloom in there, and if you keep the total ppm below 800 (or whatever level you are comfortable with)...you should be safe. But make small increases to let the plant get use to it. Watch leaf tips carefully and pray. Fingers crossed for you...

JD, thanks so much for your input. I'm in the process of slowly increasing the nute strength, and if they don't appear to be getting worse, I'll start back with a little Koolbloom. Thanks for the info and crossing your fingers! I'm definitely praying that I'm doing the right thing for them. I'll post again if anything changes. Peace

Weedenhanced, this is the status of my plants: Most of the pistils on one plant are red and curled into the bud like you said, and it doesn't look like anything new is developing. On the other one, most of the pistils are red and curled into the bud, but she keeps getting more new calyxes with straight white pistils. Ever since they got burned, the trichomes on both plants appear to have stopped developing and are not sticky like they were - you can touch the colas and not get any sticky residue on your hands like before. None of the trichomes are cloudy and their heads are small like pinheads, not big fat mushrooms like everyone says they should look before you harvest. I'm trying to figure out if they will start back up and develop more trichomes before I harvest. So, you're saying after most of the pistils are red and curled in, they should have a couple weeks to go?? I know there's no way to say for sure, I just don't want to harvest them too soon!

On the day u noticed the nute burn was it a lot hotter the day b4 in it room? No need to respond just wanna give u another idea on why mayb the burn. Plants will consume a lot more water in higher temps that mixed with a fresh batch of high ppm nutes maybe the problem. Just a thought. Good luck. Take care

Temps in my bloom room are around 68F with a rh of about 40%, so I believe that's ok. I think it was the Koolbloom on top of the nutes that burned them. But since I flushed them, I have them back on nutes - started low, worked it up little by little. This last rez change, I even put back in some Koolbloom per JD's suggestion. The buds do seem to be getting new green calyxes with white pistils. Still waiting to see if the trichomes start to develop again. On the one plant that has almost all of its red pistils receded into the bud, I think a few of the trichomes are beginning to look cloudy though, so maybe that plant's just about done???? The other bigger one still has lots of white pistils sticking straight out, so it must be less mature than the smaller girl. Still gonna give em nutes/bloom boost and see what happens.
