Nute Burn or Deficiency? *PICS*

What was the pH of your runoff?

Have you seen any improvement??
Tap Water ppm: 65-70
pH Level of Tap water: 8.4
Runoff pH after adjusting to 6.5: 4.5-5.0
Runoff ppm: have not tested yet

Just curious why the runoff pH would be so low after watering. Some say its because the plant has sucked up all the nutrients while others say the soil pH is not right and need to flush.

As for both clones, after transplanting and a minor clear water flush, the new leaves seem to be nice and green. I'm thinking the original pots were too small, hence causing root bound and therefore, plant not taking in the necessary nutrients causing all the deficiencies.

The soil I'm using now is a local brand with a pH level of 5.5-6.5 (as stated on the packing)

I'll post some pics up later for an update. Thanks again!!

could be salt build up which causes a major decrease in ph. flush until your ph and ppms are back into range and everything should correct it self.

Ok, here are the recent pics of the clones that were experiencing the deficiencies earlier. They have healed a lot since the transplantation and I have given them nothing but 6.5 pH'ed water after the flush so the verdict is: Root bound causes deficiencies. Nutrients for clones at 1/4 strength during their 3-4th weeks is not recommended.

As for the flush, I used half the recommended dosage as suggested on the Fox Farm Feeding Schedule and went 1 tsp/gal with the Sledgehammer then flushed again with clear pH'ed water.

Forgot to mention, after flushing, I tested the pH runoff but it was still in the pH 4.7-4.9 zone... shouldn't the flush have cleared out the salt buildup thus increasing the pH runoff level? The flush did increase the runoff by about 0.1-0.2 but I was hoping to get at least over pH 5.0 level. Any ideas anyone?
