Shit I have lived from here to 15 time zones ahead and all kinds of spots in between the two and it's all relatively the same. Now that said I love Oregon

I went to Atlanta at 11 and have been to like 12 countries and territories since then so I am not easy to culture shock. You want culture shock go sit on the Serbian border because to me any non third world country is about the same. You can break it down to if you shit in a hole or toilet in said country. If the answer is toilet then it's all pretty close.

Yeah I did a tour in the Navy in 80s so I definitely hear ya.
