If you choose advanced nutrients as a nutrient lineup then you have to also get the SENSI cal/mag grow and bloom in order to add 200ppm's of cal mag to every hit.

If you go onto the AN nutrient calculator and add all your nutes into it that you plan on using and get a print off of that calculator then add 200ppm's of SENSI CAL MAG using the grow if you are vegging and the bloom if you are in flowering.

I was contemplating using AN's lineup in coco and had to email AN for a response to whether i could still use their line up in coco and they recommended the 200ppm's of CAL MAG in order to help sustain all the required elements that plants need growing in coco. They used to have a lineup called monkey juice which was compatible with coco.

They also mentioned that there is no problems using their lineups in coco but you have to supplement with the cal mag.

After all the research i done about AN and their lineup etc i then realised f*ck it im going with CANNA lol.

Now i use

Coco A
Coco B
rhizotonic
Cannazym
Boost
PK13/14

Just alot easier to use a nute brand specifically formulated for using in coco.

Hope this helps.

Most non-coco specific nutrient systems will contain too much potassium for the media which will retain a rather large buffer of calcium and potassium. This is why Canna A+B includes so little Potassium in their formula. As a result you are going to find yourself using very little of the Advanced nutrients two part macro-nutrient system in coco and instead relying on Nitrogen, Calcium, Magnesium, and Phosphorus supplements to maintain the correct ratio of nutrients for coco fiber.

I have been using Canna for a while now, and it does require some P,K, and Mag supplements for flowering, but it veggz beautiful plants. Many people choose to add Cal-Mag to their mix in order to supplement additional Nitrogen and Calcium. I find this works well, but so does simply increasing the amounts of A+B used during veg.

CNS 17 Coco/Soil has a really great system with very ideal NPK, Ca, and Mg ratio's throughout the entire life of the plant when using their directions. CNS 17 Grow and Bloom is really all you need, though you can choose to add CNS 17 Ripe, and any number of other Botanicare products like Liquid Karma, Sweet, Hydroplex, Silica, and/or PureBlend.

After a good deal of time spent with Canna, and watching other growers using CNS 17 coco/soil Grow, Bloom, and Ripe... I think Botanicare has a superior system when it comes to cost, simplicity, and results.

Well said. At first I wasn't sure of a large company, b/c they are made most of the time to make profits, but the metal content ratings are all low for botanicare, the price is competitive, you get pharmaceutical grade ingredients and best of all the stuff works well. CNS17, liquid karma, hygrozyme, raw sweet, organicare calplex(smells like chocolate, really, it is tempting to try) organic wet betty(terrible advertised, great great product), hydroplex to help w/ the later weeks and some silca blast gets me by. All that goes into botanicare coco which has a great decomposing timeline and you will just see how good it is upon inspection. I feared too much use of botanicare even while trusting the company, but its one of those companies that is doing everything that it should to properly earn its money as far as products go.
