Not sure if a problem.

A little backround information on my plant. It is 6 to 7 weeks old now from seedling. Not sure the strain. Pretty sure sativa dominant. It did not start growing until topped 10 days ago. Grew almost vine like with lots of growth. Topped four branches after they reached outside of pot. Notice new branches and non serrated leaves on new branches along with tons of new growth. Pic#1 day I topped plant. Pic#2 day I topped plant again. Pic#3 today full plant. Pic#4 close up of nonserrated leaves and new branch growth.

What lights are u using are they the 23w CFLs...what kelvin temp...I see ur running at least one 2600k .what light schedule the smooth rounded off edges on the two leafers seem to me either bad genetics...or almost looks like a plant reverting back and forth to veg...ie; if u take a flowering plant and revert it to veg it throws these leaves.....I see ur running 4 bulb rigs over each plant...at 4 bulbs 23w ur looking at 92 watts per plant ...ull have airy fluffy buds and a low yeild...upgrade ur lighting .

Yes I currently have 3 plants with 8 bulbs total. I have a mixture of daylight and 2700k mostly daylight. Plan to get some more y's and bulbs or should I just go with higher watts. They are currently just vegging Been under 24 light. two of them where planted mid april from seed. Only had two 18 inch fluorescent grow lights. 18 watt. Sprouted them but they didn't grow so I upped my light output. Was thinking about getting a 2 foot 4 bulb t5 grow light set up. Would that be enough for 3 plants in a 2x2x5 area? Also the branches that have those leaves are on new growths on lowest node. One side I have 3 branches on one node and the other a tiny branch by itself.

I never used the 4 ft t5s ...I used the 250w 8u cfls tho they were OK but mine didn't last very long ...u have to be very careful with them or ull start blowing out the u bulbs.

Save up and get a 300 way led or if it grow is in a room by its self not in a box or tent use a 250w hps /mh

He is correct although if you are just learning, the spiral cfls are not the worst, you just need a ton of them and keep them like 3 inches from the plant. I used to do 2 plants under 12 23w bulbs in 3 of those clamp light fixtures and they were dense as fuck. It takes a little longer to finish, but as long as you pay close attention to them and keep that light close, you will be perfectly happy with the result.

People like to hate on flouros, but for new growers, its sometimes the best way to learn without dumping lots of cash right off the rip

I learned with flouros I liked them just spent so much money on them just to upgrade to HP's and mh...

Yes. This is my first grow. I have learned a lot already but have much more to learn. I can get more cfls and splitters. I was thinking of getting an upgraded light for flowering. It is in a closet about a little over 2 ft by 3ft and 6 feet of clearance. Trying to keep them short but bushy. That sativa is growing almost like a ground cover since I topped it the first time. My other plant is taller and thick stemmed. My seedling is 16 days old now from planting seed. The two bigoer ones are from mid April from seedling.

Thinking of keeping area where plants are now for vegging and using other closet or make a flowering room so I can keep some vegging while I flower. Would one 250 to 300 watt be enough for two to three plants in a small space or would more be best. I used cfls mostly due to them being readily available. I would need to order higher wattage bulbs or the hps setup. The closet Temps with the lights and fans on keeps the room during the day around 75 to 80. And around 68 to 70 at night.

HP's andmh will be to hot in that small of a closet with out venting out and using a fan to vent out will pull all the oxygen out faster then it can come in so ull also need to vent air in....I'd go with a 250 8u cfl and u can use the spirals in the corners u already have get a thermostat keep ur temps no higher the 75 lights on and 10 degrees cooler during lights off

Also 5 ft of clearance wouldnt give u enough height for HP's or mh u need 16 to 30 inches of space between ur canopy and lights.....keep growing cfl till u decide to obligate more room to growing

Sorry u said 6 ft that would work with a 5 week veg and a lot of LST and topping supercropping maybe even scrog

Yes my first three weeks I only had 2 18 inch 18w grow fluorescent tube over plant so no growth for first three to 4 weeks. Last two weeks are most of growth. Will continue to get more lights and stronger lights. Thanks for the help. So non serrated leaves mean stress? Also the sativa one was forcing to grow out instead of up to get more Colas. I am letting new growthe grow up towards light. I was also over watering at first. I hope I can get my plants close to looking as nice as yours.

Thanks for letting me know about bud density as well been wondering what kind of bud density to expect. Not to fond of the fluff so will definitely up the light more

Just to be clear if those rounded leafs are at the bottom of ur plant ( the first leaves to grow) those are contylindons lmao I spelled that so wrong lol but that is normal if they are anywhere else that is abnormal growth and I would say.lighting is the issue or bad genetics.I understand topping makes them more bushy by u should still have vertical growth standing str8 up..not like a space invading ivy

Ull get the hang of it and a lot of it is just getting he proper setup....take ur time read and invest into it....won't be long before u got great plants if keep at it
