I have noticed all these people talking about watts but i have noticed that as long as i have 3 Cfls or even the new Leds per plant it seems to go fine at 13w each im starting to think the whole high watt thing is a gimmick i get that a 100watts led works amazing but im thinking that has to do with the red and blue spectrum and not the actual wattage. And with cfls and leds its seems as long as i hit around 5000 lumens its.good i have a small grow area probably 1 sq ft but i just need a oz or.2 a month. Eventually ill get a nice set up just to make my life easier like a full 3 in 1 tent with all the bells and whistles but is it actually needed? I am honesly really broke right now like 10 cents a day budget broke cuz i was laid off a month ago so i have no money at all missing rent and such but i am a medical patient and need meds so i have to grow with what i have and i have cfls and leds old lamps and extension cords and rudimentary knowledge of electrical wireing so i rigged up a veg box a flower box and a clone box with just anything i had in the house and got.my hands on some.seeds and made a nice coco coir soil mix for a medium and using generic nutes mixed with double.water and use it very sparingly and crossing my fingers. For some sort of harvest at least close to my needs i did get a.new. job but i start tomorrow and wont get back on my feet till about harvests or 4 months or so with this said has anyone else had luck with a budget grow? And if so any tips? Or tricks? Like.i said its.really not a recreational thing so its not like i can just wait because im getting worse without. But i figure once i start pulling harvests even if i get 1oz or even a half its better then nothing
Oh and one thing that happened i accidently took of a shoot i had fimmed so i put cloning powder on it stuck it in my clone room in a little coco coir/soil mix and its growing out faster then the Fimmed branches on my actual plant anyone know why this is. . . is it cus of the humidity in a cloning room or is it cuz thats the only thing.it needs to grow besides roots i just thought it was weird cuz fimming usually take 3-5 days before shoots form and grow out but my clone did that in 2days? Just thought it was odd
