Also when you have a higher muscle mass, your body burns more calories. You need to go off of BMI (Body Mass Index) not actual weight on the scale. Waist circumference is a good way to measure weight loss, or how your clothes are fitting you. You can gain 20 pounds of muscle and loose 20 pounds of fat and the scale will read the same but you’ve just completely changed the way you look.
