I have grown Nirvana's and Joey Weed's Northern Lights....Both are excellent.
Nirvana's, I think should be cheaper, look at Nirvana's ad banner!
Very stony and sweet tasting, tight sugary buds!

used to do northern lights...excellent and easy strain to grow. As far as smoke...there are much better ones out there better but if you are selling, it has great yield

You should start a new thread on this same forum or perhaps on the indoor growing forum etc...just title it bloom box growers or something. You will get more feed back from browsers. This thread was started by the OP asking about the Northern Lights strain not bloom box growers. Not being a dick...just trying to help you get the feed back you want. Start your threads in the appropriate forums with the information you are looking for and you will have better results!

Look at Peakseeds BC. I'm no expert, but I've had good success with his NL #5. One just finishing now (planted two, one was male). The breeder has a limited line. $40 or $30 for Canadians for ten regular seeds. I got mine a couple years back on a two for one deal. Have to send cash or Canadian money order.

Just tried to pop a pack of Sensi NL and had bad germ rates, sucks when you throw down good $ to only have a couple pop. Old beans!

I cop'd Ministry of Cannabis Northern Lights ....at attitude, was about $10/bean ...I'd report back but its gonna sit till I get 3-4 more NL strains/brands/seed banks to grow all at once then compare (I mentioned that because you might wanna try that also)

I run peakseed NL and SB right now and they are incredibly strong. SB is hardy with big leaves and purple/red stem.NL is stout, very compact and very uniform. 100% germ rate.

Wow, how did this old thread get dug up?

I have not grown out NL for several years now.
I do not know if Nirvana provides the same genetics these days.
I think Joey bit the dust.

A pal of mine just tried Sensi's NL for his last crop, and he was less than thrilled...he will not endorse their seeds...FWIW:joint:

I'm going to take a stab at it..... Bear Country was cruising the net looking for info on a NL grow he's contemplating>>> He's been sampling the fruits of his last grow>>> He reads through this thread>>> Gets to it's dead end >>>FORGETS this thread is 4 years old now>>> Replies to the thread jacker, which in turn Re-incarnates the thread>>>At this point, the rest of us wonder into this thread because we want to read about NL too, not noticing that it's a zombie thread either until you point it out to us. This is exactly how pile-ups happen! Good eye, Wavels!

Sounds about right.

Still, Northern Lights is one of those old school strains that's still world famous that still generates a lot of interest. There are a lot of open threads on this, and topic comes up again and again.

Lots of people (myself included) grew it back in the day and it seems a lot of people want to know who currently offers the best/most authentic version.

That was from bcsc not bc bud depot. British columbia seed co.......had the best northern lights period! Now their germ rate sucked as i only got 1 to pop.....but that one was phenomenal! Super vigor, bushy Christmas tree shaped. Soooo much resin, and perfect medium sized buds that were just as mean at the very bottom bud as the top. Great yield.....but the flavor was perfect nl.....skunky,berry,piney,hashy,and the most amazing sour cream n onion flavor at the bottom end. But even more impressive was the high! Power effects that were happy, euphoric, but it really made u feel relaxed. Like you would feel after super hard workout or hard day of labor, and you come home and take a shower....there is that super relaxed awesome feeling, that's what nl is about. No its not going to make u paranoid or slam u instantly like a good kush....but it will make u smile and feel fucking great!!!! Gor a pack now that i am getting ready to run, but first i want to make sure i have it set up right. Cause if i get a male n female this time i will be making seeds, cause i want this one forever!!!! Best stress reliever on the planet!
