Round my area I generally smoke whatever I can get hold of, it's not easy to get stuff round here from time to time.. But.. Every now and then the nice dry Northern Lights is goin around and it's sucha nice smoke :)

..So for my first grow I decided to grow what I love. But, I'm just wondering what the yield is like in comparison to other strains?

NL is definately a heavy yielder if grown right... (which is not hard to do)...

Here's a pic of some Northern Lights a buddy of mine harvested a few months back...

i would keep in mind that every company is going to have a somewhat different Northern Lights. even if they spell it the same way or have the same pics, etc... in my personal experience Northern Lights is one of my favorite strains to smoke. I just got done with a plant of my favorite strain ever. its Nirvana's Chrystal (northern lights x (northern lights x white widow)) and i love a couple of other nirvana northern lights hybrids. Nirvana's northern lights is excellent! its not a full indica either like some others may be. typically northern lights is a mix of Afghan x Thai that is back crossed again with the Afghan until the desired plant is obtained. hence the numbers... like NL#5 or NL#9, NL#1, etc... for instance Dutch Passion sells a strain called oasis, its NL#2. Sagarmatha labels it NL#9 for theirs. NL#5 may possibly be the most common, which is what Sensi has.

ANYWAYS!! with that in mind. try to figure out which NL you really want to get. Nirvana is great and cheap IMO. Dutch passion oasis(NL#2) is considered one of the best. Sensi NL#5 is the original, but quite expensive. and there are many more you can look at too. make sure you research them and ask questions on here if you need to. good luck bro! northern lights is fantastic!

Northern Lights strains will yield fairly well as long as you grow them right. Since they're a good beginner strain they will yield well unless something goes horribly wrong.

Goodluck!
