North england outdoor autoflower grow-questions

Hi i'm looking at doing an autoflower grow, outdoors in the northwest of england. Does anyone have any experience with similar grows? Any advice on strains and care would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thats why im veering more towards autoflowering strains, to try and miss any chance of frost and mould. I just cant seem to find any info on what auto strains will do well outdoors :(

they all do well outdoors but at the moment theres still frost risks here in the u.k so might be better off waiting a month or 2 then putting down some lr2s or even maxi goms etc im in the middle of an indoor maxi grow atm

I live in NE england. Im gunna start my plants in early-April on my window-sill until they have grew a 2-3 nodes, then plant them in holes outside and leave them until they are ready.

The strains im growing:
MI5 - Short Stuff (auto)
2x Himalaya Blue Diesel - Short Stuff (auto)
Jack Herer - Green House
AK-48 - Nirvana
Super Silver Cheese - Royal Dutch Genetics
Special K - Royal Dutch Genetics
Blue Cheese - Big Buddha
Big Bang - Green House
Tangerine Dream - Barneys Farm

I've had a scout around n think i will b going with picknmix seeds,

fruit automatic
snowstorm #2
gnomo
santa

anyone ever grown these strains?

i'm in a similar situation to you, i will also be going with pick n mix seeds, i am going to grow santa, auto ak47 and ruderalis skunk (not too sure about this one but i'll see how it goes)

Yea ive heard mixed reviews of the ruderalis skunk, same with ruderalis indica. Another of my problems tho will b keepin the smell down coz there are plenty of scallies around here wont think twice about swipin the little ladies, thats y i lookd for strains that are supposedly fruity smelling whilst flowering, try n keep it maskd a bit. Also, does anyone know if there are still suppliers around who stock ducksfoot, dizzy or ABC? They sound ideal for a stealth grow in full view

Also, with the autos, if i just sit them in large pots directly in front of a south-facing window, will it work or will the glass filter too many rays?

those are aussie clone only/landrace i believe nosnebelyk. i tried an outdoor in durham last year it wasnt worth the time n effort. ruderallis is only good for crossing to a normal strain to make auto versions of it. on its own ruderalis is pretty shite.

See anything i do will have to be outdoors coz of the mrs. Mite b able to stretch to a greenhouse or small polytunnel if i nag enough lol

unless your a 50-60 year old getting down the club a polytunnels gonna look well suspect man. honestly after running about last year with a load of plants in a bag and a mini shovel etc having heart palpatations when the farmer rocks up on a quad, i can honestly say its safer in a bedroom. the results are better ( in my climate anyway... ) have you got a shed? might be time for one if not.

Looks like a sheds gunna b the way forward then coz like i said, the lady of the house dnt want me growing inside :( dnt really understand it as she is fine with me growing in the yard which imo is much riskier anyway, but needs must and im sick of street prices. How would i go about keepin the smell and heat signature down doing it in a shed?

man youll need to insulate properly or your shed wont have snow on it come winter haha. treat it as a normal grow. get a fan filter and cooltube. dunno bout your garden or yard but id put the hole through the a side of the shed facing a wall or something. id say it would be good to have a tent inside the shed so theres not light streaming out when you open the door.

Cheer for ur help mate, yea i realise bout the insulation, plenty of ppl have made that mistake around here. Bit of a give away wen snow is melting as its hitting ur roof lol as for the tent, i thought about making a small cabinet out of an old bedding box lined with mylar and fluoro tubes, using pc fans for intake and exhaust and a DIY carbon filter. I reckond it all up and it would cost a lot less than a tent. Just trying to keep everything as low cost as possible really. Its my 1st ever grow n only for me, so nt too botherd how spectacular the results are to b honest, as long as i get a bit of smoke out of it

I am currently doing
10 auto assassin short stuff-auto's
1 afgahn kush ryder world of seeds- auto
1 northern lights by sensi seeds- normal
1 blue cheese by barney's farm - normal

the auto's are doing really well atm, and im expexting quite a decent yeild off all of the strains by the end of september (the autos probs earlier) this was my first grow outside in the UK and i was suprised at how easy it was, the auto assassins absolutly HONK though so if ur gonna do a gorrila grow make sure they're not gonna be near any public foot paths or anywhere where people are gonna smell them. i would suggest that you grow short stuffs MI5, its just like auto assassin but yeilds more and is more of an indica stone. Alot of people grow these outsife in the UK because they adapt well to the cold climate. GOOD LUCK....... keeep tokin!
