Any one from the NE or New England started or have a date to start?

I am in southern middle of the New england. Highs have finaly made it into the 60's a few days in a row and are forecasted to be 70 tomorrow. We have 1 day (4/20) that is supposed to be cold 48 degrees and raining for a majority of the day - other than that upper 50's and into the 60's for highs - Lows are still in the mid 30's

I feel that this spring has been chillier than usual - normally 4/20 is my germination date... I don't think this year it is going to be. Still too cold in my opinion.

New englanders - let me know!!

What up dude, I grow in New England and I have already started my grow. I sprouted seeds in late march, indoors of coarse and they have been growing in soil for 16 days now. The weather is still way to cold at night to put them outside, it cant get much cooler than 50 deg. or they might go into shock. However, last year I planted out side early and it didn.t seem to have much of an effect other than stretching, but the plants were mature and could handle it. Check out my grow journal in my sig if you wanna see more! Cant wait for the warm weather!!!

I am also in the New England area. Today was the warmest day yet, but im expecting at least another 2-3 weeks before I will think about putting mine out. How long have yours been going, and how big are they?

Well i took clones on March 12th and repotted them from keg cups to 1 gallon grow bags on the 23rd of March. They have been vegging under a 400 MH hanging vertically with no reflector since the repotting. They're from 14-18 inches.:bigjoint:

The reason there is 2 pics is cause I'm right in the middle of watering them. The ones on the bench have been watered and the rest on the floor have not.

wow, very nice, they look very bushy and healthy. great job, I would be keeping an eye on weather.com for your zipcode to find a nice stretch of sun and warm weather to look to be planting around then.

Thursday-sunday is supposed to be mostly sunny, but I think I may wait a week more. They still have some growing to do then once they are big enough they are going to be cloned and the mothers will be going outside.

When talking with some experienced growers in the area they all advice waiting till the first new moon in June, which is sometime around the first week or two. This is what I am going to do, It will allow my plants to be alot larger, stronger, and have a better chance of surviving. Another reason is the vegetation around your plants is going to grow alot in May, so if you plant early before it comes up it may grow faster than weed plants and block them out. Sexing plant inside and then having them go out when days are still getting longer may stress it out. Some people even say to wait until after June 21'st so days are getting shorter. Just some things to think about. Good Luck

None of which is true. Listen here Jr, I'm a season veteran and the second week of may is a gaurentee. I'm going first week of May this year. Get your facts straight ok?

As for the growth around it over growing it, CUT IT! Mine are always 2 ft when put outdoors.

just putting out some thoughts, I have always put out in the beginning of May as soon as it is warm enough. I have just been gathering info, and may try a variety of things before all of them get out there.

so you think around mothers day would be an alright time to put them outdoors? i put out 50 clones last year on mothers day, and we got a frost, which killed half of my crop. im a little south of you... i think this year i might wait until memorial day weekend.

if you are going to sex them inside then yea i would just grow them til june like you said when the days start getting shorter...you cant sex it inside and then throw it outside too early because it will try to reVeg and probably mess itself up. If you are not sexing inside..then yes first week in may is the usual planting time over here.
