I want to start my first grow under a 400w hps.
Normal feminized seeds or Autoflowering feminized seeds?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?
I think Autoflowering is easier to grow, or not?
Buds have another quality, or not?

Well fem seeds can go hermie & be a lil unstable sometimes that's the disadvantage but that's not always the case.
same goes for Auto fems too with the added disadvantage that you have 'Ruderalis' genes in the Autos.
Autos are quicker to grow, probably a little easier than regular seeds but they have a different nutrient regime so you will
probably have to adjust the feeding schedule of an auto compared to a regular. From my experience growing Autos
and normal plants the Autos final product is not quite as strong as your regular grown bud, but still good & smokeable.

Horses for courses..whatever suits you bud

ok i dont know alot on the subject. i do know auto's are less potent. thats a disadvantage. they also yeild a little bit less than a regular but that all depends on how you grow out the regular sometimes a auto can out yeild a reg given the situation and how they are grown so there are variables there but in most cases a reg will outgrow a auto.

if you plan on keeping a perpetual then autos are not a good choice as cloning them is difficult if not impossible, whereas 1 reg feminized seed can produce lots of clones and from them clones even more clones, given the right circumstances you can setup a perpetual and harvest 50 plants every 2 weeks (this woould take a long time to get to that stage) just off one seed.

if your just looking to start>>>finish from seed in a short span of time then autos are the way to go but if you plan on growing continuously then i wouldnt recomend feminized autos as you will have to keep buying expensive packs of seeds. instead get a batch of 10 reg autos pick your best male and female and seclude them in thier own little box and let them hanky panky it up, then you will have enough auto seeds to last you a few grows, only prob will be they will be regular so you will have to ditch the males every time. but with autos they show sex after about 3 weeks so this isnt such a big deal. you can grow them for first 3 weeks in a 1 gal pot once they show sex dump the males and repot the females. then start up X amount of seeds where X is the number of males you just trashed (or hashed)

if you want big plants and high yeilds and want to play around with LST, topping, FIMMing and suppercropping then regs are the way to go and unless you plan on breeding go feminized because theres nothing worse then vegging and training a male plant for 2 months..

autos are cool to grow i have one in my tent and im going to germ another today. but they are just a side project to my photoperiod plants. which is always another option. grow out photoperiod plants and pick n mix a few fem autos to play around with while you wait for other plants to get where you want them to be.

hope that helped a little bit and isnt just some nonsense babbling lol

:peace:

Having grown autos, the only advantage I can think of is if you need a very small plant. The dwarf plants that I know of that produce good weed are autos. White Dwarf in particular. It stays small allright, and I like the smoke, but you will be lucky to get more than an ounce per plant, and in my mind it just isn't worth it. If my only option was to grow a small plant in, say, an aerogarden, I would grow White Dwarf.

I don't have a problem with the space for grow.
I just want to know what is the best seed type.

I will grow normal feminized seeds!

yeah thats definantly your best bet if you dont have space restrictions... but hey man grab up a auto seed or 2 and grow em out while you grow your other crop. will give you a nice bit of bud 1/2 way through your grow and you can check out the grow style/smoke quality for yourself.

like i said im growing a auto in my batch and i actually like it. .it is the biggest plant in my tent right now due to no training and it just looks good. its like a mini plant. its been in for almost 4 weeks now and its starting to show pistols. im hoping it starts budding up soon so im outta bud and could use a harvest. im actually going to germ up a auto macromachine today, figure why not right :)

gl on your adventure if you start up a journal post link here ill follow along

chances are good, only 3 plants you should be fine. look into some LST so you can utilize you direct light more as a tall branchy plant will get less light to lower nodes. growing out in the open is nice because it reduces the need for cooling the grow room. but it has its disadvantages too as most grow rooms are lines with some form of reflective material and can disburse the light better through reflection. this is why i say look into LSTing as it will keep your canopy nice and even and allow the direct light to hit more of the plant :)

For the air circulation i will put in the room some normal fans << http://remodelista.com/img/sub/freudtablefan.jpg >> 3 or 4
This should be good, no?

so with the LST you are ensuring that all of your budsites get direct full throttle light

without LST you can only lower the light as far as the top node which means the lower branches will get lkess and less "high quality" light this making smaller "popcorn" buds

with the LST method you will get a whole canopy of "main colas" and you can veg untill you are happy with the amount of tops you have opposed to not LSTing your restricted to vegging untill the plant reaches a maximum height of your ceiling
