Noob, how am I looking?

This is a DWC setup in a PC case.

Got a little update on my grow. Had some serious problems with nute burn, over-pruning and heat stress...

I'll be doing a lotta things different next time, also thinking - SCROG!

It looks pretty sad. How long have you been flowering? Pretty severe magnesium deficiency there IMO. Don't you grow lots of algae in that reservoir, it being all filled with light?

Still, better than I did and further along than the first time I grew; ah memories. . .

shitty but you will get better. that plant needs some support it looks like. but keep it up took me 2 years tell i had it down. now i'm pulling 56,000$ plus a year in income.

That plant is scary looking. Did you LST or something? It's like every branch is a top cola, but the plant isn't tied up.. It's really freaking me out.

Looks like it could have used more light... or more something.

i agree with the magnesium def. i use epsom salt for that.. 1 tsp to a gallon of water

How much did it cost you to get that setup? Explain how you did it if you dont mind, it would help me out a bunch! It seems very manageable and something i could cope with

shnkrmn - totally get a lot of algae in there bro! Gonna fix that next grow, I still wanna see this one through. Flowering about 16 days... she's an autoflower variety. If I sort out the magnesium deficiency will she green up?

Burgess - I pinched a few of the bigger stems to get them out of the light, they were burning. You mention support. Scrog? I'm really thinking that's the best way to go next times given my height restrictions.

doobnVA - I FIM'ed her... Twice actually, that's why she looks freaky I guess. She used to have some more greenery (left over FIM stumps) that I snipped off. I also pruned, which in retrospect I think was a mistake.

Magnesium deficiency is really common when you use RO water, or during the early days of flowering. The plant will definitely respond well and green up. 1/2 tsp per gallon of water can be used as a foliar feed. This will get the fastest response. Epsom Salts cost about $1.50 at the drug store. Cheapest fix in dope growing!

The plants look realy light in coulour,The internodes are far too far apart get the light has close has possible without burning the plants this can only be done with a good exaust system.

FIM'ed twice, Ah, okay. It looks a little monstrous, don't you guys think? Like one of those scary trees in a movie that reaches out and grabs you?

Anyway, I wasn't trying to bust on you, OP. It's not bad for a first attempt. Hopefully it'll fill in a bit more =) At least it's still alive and has some bud sites on it. A lot of newbies don't even make it that far.

Indeed, it is rather big. Just over a foot tall, maybe 8 inches deep. Still, not big enough it would seem.

Hah, my mistake i misquoted you, the question was directed at the OP. Considering starting a very small grow in a computer tower and wondering what constraints/costs i would have.

Right, well... It's very cheap and fairly easy. There are a bunch of PC grows here. There are to be expected costs in lighting and ventilation - as well as the case itself, but they can be cheap. Apart from that, mylar and fish-tank pump/airstones and a res. Nothing major, suited for personal grows.

I'd like to help, but on my first grow I'm hardly qualified. When/if I harvest and upgrade my system (I have some ideas) I may make some kind of tutorial type thing.
