Noob Growing from seed.. advice please

hello this is my first time starting from seed.i have started the process already with the damp paper towel trick and then planted the seeds after they have emerged in seedling soil 0.0-0.01-0.0. i am not 100% sure on what the numbers mean but im trying to do research to elimate some trial and error. so far the seedlings have all started to emerge and this is about the 5th day or so from the very beginning. i would like to know a water/light/nutes schedule to follow. i have a small 2 bulb fluro light roughly 6-8 inches from the seedlings. the room temp is roughly 20-23 degrees celsius. also would like to know when i can transplant the seedlings from there small starter pots to larger pots to finish them off and what kind/strength of soil i should use

Those numbers are pretty low, but they will def grow.
what size pots?
No nutes needed for a while.
I just started a crop in solo cups 19 days ago. I plan on transplanting in the next few days
I started with a little robust water sched but now i fully water every 3-5 days and just started a very dilute fert application. But not with every water day.

Im debating transplanting to a 2gal pot and then depending how things go maybe a 5gal a few weeks or so before flowering.
Just my thoughts of the moment
Hope it gave ya some ideas

They are started in white styrofoam cups. And the soil was dampened when planted. All the plants have started to sprout. There's about 1 dozen. Got them out of a bad of dope lol. Also if u could give numbers as w as brand names for nutes and soils that would be great incase I don't have the same brands here where I am

Fox farm is popular around this site. For everything.

This site has a bunch of really helpful forums and stickies. Just look around on here for the specifics and compare to what you can buy around your area. Nitrogen is a good focus nute but thats by no means the only one to consider. My notion is that nitro in soil/fert makes more female % but thats just me.

For now I would just play the observation game. and get some more light, and do ya homework. 12 is quite a the load for a first start grow.
That being said, keep a journal with every detail you do and try different tech on diff ones, Great way to really learn and comprehend how this beautiful creature really works

Ok I am fairly new to growing pot, however I have been growing all kinds of organic veggies for years now ... Not a whole lot of difference from what I can tell.My 2 cents for you .... Don't use styrofoam for germinating, styro tends to let a lot of light through and you don't want light on your soil or roots. If you use styrofoam try wrapping the cups in foil or tape to make light proof. Also, I would be very careful with your seeds ... Bag seeds are most often the result of hermaphroditism in plants, meaning that your seeds are more than likely going to be hermes too. Check them EVERY DAY throughout flower for male pollen sacks, check every node on every plant. If you miss even 1 pollen sack your female plants will all produce seeds and very little bud. For soil and nutes I use Premier Pro-mix and Advanced Nutrients(base plus hobby level pack). Works really good for me. I started using some cheaper stuff I picked up locally, but was full of bug larvae and was too rich for my plants(nute burn without even adding any nutes!) ... Presumably from their "proprietary blend of time release nutrients). I ended up driving several hours(7 each way) to get my supplies from another city, but the supplies I am using now were well worth the drive and expense.Oh ya .... And the 0.0-0.01-0.0(or similar) refers to the NPK values. For our purposes we want very low NPK values for soil, then we add the nutes we want later when the plants are mature enough to begin fertilization.

you can fuck up all you want while vegging, as long as you keep them alive. I would not feed anything for another 5-10 days.

Thats fine everyone has there own preference on 18/6 20/4 24/0 and as far as bagseeds my journal signature i have 3 midgrade bagseeds i started under CFLs no where near enough for a month n half then finally got tent hps / mh light...but all 3 turned girls and are in the last few weeks of flowering and no hermies on them they are beautiful except a small ph lockout nothing major haha no ph meter :( but i have peat pots with 3 blue dream starting 12/12 from seed im going to wait till they are about 4th node maybe to transplanrt into a 20% runoff coming out bottom...then let them dry for a few days learn the weight of your pots soaked and after they dry... :) enjoy bro

not cruitial, you can do 24/0, 19/5, 18/6 are all used often, whatever you use just stick with until you flip it to 12/12

Ok I'm running 18/6 with a outlet timer. In how many days should I start to see more leaves growing. Right now there is 4 leaves ( 2 round ones and 2 pointy ones )

I would like to no when to start adding nutes and what my watering schedule shoul be right now. They are roughly about 7-9 days old right now from very start.

I`m also new at it. I got the E-Book called, "Growing Elite Marijuana" and it really helps with basic, intermediate, and advanced Technics. Also "Cervantes" (check the spelling) is a name you may want to look up on youtube. There are tons of good,..and bad info on youtube but starting out with Cervantes will probably be a good beginning for you. As for water, judge the dampness of the soil with a finger and collect rain water to use as much as possible, lights,...I did the 24 hour a day thing because it`s been suggested by many of the top growers. It does remain a personal preference thing but 18 hours per day should be the minimum amount. Again, I am fairly new but from what I`ve read and viewed, the expense of electricity would really be the only logical reason not to run at 24 hours per day. From a seed I would suggest spaghetti peat moss, this is from my own experience so,... The different methods with different type soils and soilless dirt is vast so that part of your question could be a thread of it`s own. I honestly don`t know if there is a set exact or perfect time pertaining to age when transplanting is concerned. I have done it from a week to 3 weeks with no ill effects. I would state that you may transplant whenever you choose to do so as long as you use caution and keep the soil and roots intact when doing so. Most of what I`ve read or viewed suggests allowing the small container to really be filled with roots before transplanting so I would go with this suggestion. Nutrients is another question with endless possibilities according to your set-up. I balance the Ph in the soil and water with a few nutrients and/or minerals and leave it at that until the end of the 2nd week. The "AMOUNT" should be your concern. I would imagine that you could fertilize after a day or two as long as you used the appropriate amount but it wouldn`t be sensible during that delicate period in a plants life. As a newb myself, I understand the frustration associated with the "How to`s" I never knew there was such a tremendous amount nor the complexities therein. I love it!

We can't tell you what your watering schedule should be. It is different for everyone, just don't keep the dirt wet, slightly moist, when it's dry, water it. Not ready for nutes yet
Don't have to over think it.

I just don't wanna make 1 mistake and kill them. As far as lighting I think I want to try a complete cfl grow becuase I'm on a budget. Any tips on cfl grow.
