You need fans and real ones. Note the plural.

Read up. Good luck.
i have read the info but it means nothing to me Please remember im a Noob grower i have no experience in growing i have read various articles on growing but it
is still not solving my problem I need fans real ones is not a answer i was looking for im afraid its not a good answer both of my fans are VENTS my Extractor is a
VENTS TT 100 perhaps i should go elsewhere where i will get a proper answer i thought the fans i have would be ok

how big is your tent?

The 4 inch fans might not be enough.. you have a 400 w Light? I always thought prior to growing that i was ok with the simple concept of one inline fan, one ex. And i had 6 inchers.

Not enough... for summer eventually i had to vent in a/c through aluminum duct all the way to the tent. I love winter hydro growing so much more

The fan you have is not ok. Everything you need to know is in the link. Just because you are a "noob grower" Is not an excuse to be lazy. There are people on these forums who have dedicated years to growing cannabis and are more than happy to share knowledge. It is one thing to say i read the article and it didnt make much sence would you mind helping me understand this, Its another thing to be an ass to someone i see in the newbie section like me dedicating time that could be spent doing other things.

A response like that, might not get you far. You wanted advice, you got it. You don't like the advice, don't post lol. I agree with everyone else. Try some 6-8" fans see if that helps, if not try
and find a way to throw some cooler air in there. Show pics of what your talking about that helps. Your clearly not pulling out enough hot air fast enough, and the ambient temperature your pulling air from is ummmm warm..

I have a 400w with a 4"inline fan, no intake fan. Negative pressure and a/c keeps my tent 77-80.

I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to say this before I lose my mind. FANS DO NOT COOL AIR THEY MOVE IT. IF YOUR GROW IS TOO HOT CHANCES ARE THE ROOM YOUR TENT IS IN IS TOO HOT. It's not magic people, it's simple fucking science.

Exactly. But moving a lot of cubic feet of air per minute through does exhaust used air and reduce humidity in buds. Or helps. And it reduces hot air that builds up. AC is a sore point with me here when ot comes to some folks. They buy one, aim it into their tent with the exhaust in the same room! Now if that air can be exchanged that might be one thing. Thermal gain is thermal gain regardless of the source.

Right you are, that's where math comes into play. Given my tent size and cfm of my fan, It's moving a lot of air, so it cools the light just fine. The generic answers BIGGER FAN, are a bit silly. Fans no matter which way you look at it don't cool air. More airflow doesn't equal cooler temperatures. You could have a billion cfm fan, if you're dumping hot air back into the room the tent is in without a/c, that billion cfm fan will be moving a billion cfm of hot ass air.

Agree. I have stooped to "bigger fan" due to the audience I am playing to in many cases. Hence my link to the page for calcs. Thanks for helping explain it better or in another way.

The problem is you need a cooled reflector. The dutch barn deal is not going to work.
If it is 69 in your room, it should be around 74 in your tent.

I run a 600 watt HPS in a 3x3 tent with a cooled hood hooked to a 420cfm fan.
The temps never get more than 5 degrees than the room it is in.

filter>tube>light reflector>tube>inline fan

You should be pulling around 270 cfm.

No disagreement with Shim.. but i didn't think we were necessarily wrong. Some believe 4 inch for 400w, 6 in for 600w, and so on is fine. I don't believe its enough.

Of course a fan doesn't cool air. An air conditioner cools air. But if hot air is stagnant and building up, a temp of 90 can easily be made to 85-86 with better air circulation, ventilation etc. To be technical, noone's answer is great because the poster needs to give exact specs and dimensions and everything, even temps right outside his tent in whatever area it is.

But in general, i just felt 4 inch for 400 watt is not necessarily enough. I did say to use A/C though. .

the dimensions are around 55 cubic feet. 90cmx90cmx160cm
55 x 5 = 275

275 cfm fan

get a 420cfm inline fan with a speed control

you probably do not need a intake fan

that is of course with a cooled reflector
I wouldn't grow in a tent with out a cooled reflector
