Noob Grower Dank Buds *Frosty*

Hey yall at RIU, new grower here. Feel free to comment, post pics of your grows, give tips,etc. I want to keep this thread alive so any input is appreciated. I'm also really interested in seeing other peoples bagseed grows, and especially 12/12 from seed grows so if you have experience with these post up pics and advice

Been going at it since last spring, I started off as a true noob, my first set up was originally with one plant in my closet started from shwagg bagseed. I had it growing under a halogen (LMAO) flood light.. fail i know haha I didn't even give it any nutes at all until mid july. I honestly knew almost nothing about growing but suprisingly i did have it under 18/6 light cycle, around the end of june i put it in my back yard where it really took off..By the time it was 5 weeks into flower it was a bit over four foot tall. Heres a pic of it about 2-3 weeks before harvest(cut her down October 13,she wasnt quite ready but impatience got the best of me) Hope the picture shows because ive never really posted pics like this before.. well here it goes She yeilded a grand total of ~22 grams she had extremely air, light, fluffy buds which doesn't surprise me cause i abused her to hell haha, her buds are pretty nice though id have to call it fire or high grade mids the buds release a pleasant aroma of fruity spicyness when pinched and the high is that of a fairly strong sativa, really messes with your head =)
My next plant (named skunk plant) which was started around July 27 was also started under a halogen flood light where it vegged for 2 weeks before being moved to the back yard by August 31st i noted my her first flowers and fed her with miracle grow purple violet for her first 2 weeks of flowering and then switched to Dyna-Gro Grow (at this point i was researching weed nonstop for weeks and really started to know my shit, I ditched to halogen light and went out and bought CFL's) she flowered for just over 8 weeks and i chopped her down today. heres pics (hopefully)
she has MUCH denser buds than my first plant and also has a plethora of crystals. she absolutely reeks, ever since she started flowering she has stunk it up with a skunky diesel very dank smell. will tell yall what she yeilds once she dries out. cant wait =)
Alright so that is basically where i started and in just a short amount of time i have learned so much, and im putting that knowledge to use to grow these lil fuckers
both plants where put outside under 12/12 after less than 2 weeks veg. the second plant(teeny) is only 6 inches tall! crazy shit man haha. Teeny showed her first pistol Oct 13 and the other one showed her sex Oct 17. I also have five other plants outside all started 12/12 from seed that haven't yet shown sex and one plant which was vegged for two weeks which also hasn't shown sex.
Well thats all for this post I also have a hydro system set up in my closet right now which i will tell yall about soon =)

Awesome my pics showed up!! Since they did i well tell you guys about my hydro system.
I have a 30 or 40 gal air pump(can't remember xD) which was hooked up to an 18 gallon tote reservoir. I had it set up as a 6-site DWC under a total of 177 actual watts of cflView attachment 2390331 this was them on Oct 19 before they showed sex, they were switched to 12/12 on Oct 6 after just over 2 weeks veg. Well alot has happened since then, sunday, october 21 I went out of town to visit family for a week and during that time 4 out of five of the plants showed sex. one female, three males and another which hasn't shown sex after 22 days and was transplanted to the yard in soil, two males were disposed of and the third was salvaged and seperated from my other plants, it is now outside in soil and i will grow it out to collect its pollen because it looks like it has awesome indica dom genetics.

When i got back from my week away from my babies, i ran into MANY problems with my DWC setup..... my tote sprung a leak and ALL the water escaped leaving the plants to dry out for about ~2 days. So i first tried to fix my reservoir to try and continue to use it, which failed horribly so i killed off the males and transplanted the other two, leaving one female which I made a new DWC bucket for, it is 3.5 gallons and has two airstones in it it now has all 177 watts of CFL to itself and plenty of bubbles. It is only showing its first pistol but will soon hit a growth spurt, I'll update tomorrow with a pic of the new setup

Sounds and looks like you're learning and doing fine, nice looking grow too. keep up the good work and keep us informed on how it's going....grow on my friend.

Here is a pic of my hydro setup at the moment. She was the only female out of the six plants in my original DWC setup and she was also the runt. My 18 gallon tote reservoir sprung a leak and although i'm not sure how long they went without any water in the res my guess is around two days. This is the day after getting her back into water and she doesn't look like she is doing so great. I'm sure time will fix her up but i'd like any advice from people who have experienced something similar. Right now she in sitting in tap water with 1 tablespoon of Dyna Gro-Grow (love it) and about 15 mL h2O2 (3% food grade hydrogen peroxide)


Here is another plant from the 6-site DWC i previously had setup. The female in my closet, the indica dom male plant, and this yet to be sexed plant are the only survivors from the 6-site DWC. The other 3 males were massacred by me This one has been in 12/12 for 23 days and hasn't shown sex yet.. really weird


Also here is my new favorite plant I have going right now, it showed its first pistol Oct 17. I have high expectations for this plant because the plant i harvested yesterday didn't have crystallization like this until about half way through flowering. Also heres a sexy pic of the skunk plant I harvested yesterday. As soon as I walked into my house today i could smell the stink from this girl, and when i opened the closet she just reeked. I will trim her after drying to keep as much of that stank as possible And by the way all of the plants i'm growing right now are from bagseed from weed that i get for $30 per half O, Including the skunk plant that is drying out.. the only exception is the hydro plant in my closet, i got that seed from a bag of dank my friend bought. Anyways feel free to comment and give advice, tips, share pics of your previous grows, etc. any input is appreciated =)

This plant is six inches tall and has a single small bud on the top, it was put into 12/12 on september 24 as a 1 week old plant and showed its first pistol oct 13. It's been getting cold at night for the past week maybe that will help me get some purple buds, i saw some purple on the calyxes of this tiny plant. Do yall think it will keep purpling?
Also how big do you think this plant will get? I think it will have a single cola atleast 6 inches long with no popcorn buds just lollipopped

Here is a plant 28 days into 12/12 that hasn't shown sex yet it was grown under 18/6 lighting for 2 weeks I LST'd it today gonna make it nice and bushy, hopefully it turns out to be female
Here is my favorite plant at the moment, she spent her first two weeks from seed under 18/6 lighting in an aerogarden. She did alot of stretching in her first couple weeks. Closeup of her buds, looks like it will be a fat cola
This is my last DWC plant, she's doing quite well. THis is her 28th day under 12/12, plan to chop around the end of december. I basically lollipopped her due to complications but she should yeild nicely
I also trimmed and began to cure my skunk plant on thursday. She yeilded 22 grams total, same yeild as my first plant xD The buds smell of a mix between a skunky scent and a slight green apple smell, smells awesome =) and it tastes like it smells its also a very smooth smoke and very potent

One of my plants just won't show sex It was switched to 12/12 28 days ago doesnt have any preflowers, anyone experience this before? Its really strange, it was started from a random bagseed in a DWC setup and was switched to soil 21 days into 12/12 due to my reservoir breaking. It was without water for awhile(not sure) but it spang back to life when I switched it to soil.
Today I LST'd it at 12 pm and within 5 hours the plants top was reaching for the sun, this plant is very healthy and is striving, but it won't show sex..so weird

Two of my 12/12 from seed plants should be showing sex in the next couple days. I'm doing 12/12 from seed outdoors and I haven't been able to find many threads of others doing the same, so if you have experience with 12/12 from seed outdoors please share your experiences =) I live in a part of Texas where it never freezes over or snows so I should be able to grow them through winter

This plant has finally shown sex! Its female =) It took 32 days of 12/12 light to show sex, the others took 18-21 days so this one had me worried, but she is now my biggest plant and should yeild good . Ill post pics of her lady parts later =)

I also have 26 seeds germinating at the moment, all from bagseed. I'm going to plant all 26 outside once they germ. I have 5 female plants as of right now ( which i estimate will yeild atleast a total of 4oz). And I also have 4 plants that have not yet shown sex, one is about to show any day now (expecting it to be female because its been in 12/12 for a long time), two of them are small and about 3 weeks old (12/12 from seed) but were stunted so they will take another week to show. And the last one is my baby in the aerogarden. With the plants I have started already i'm expectin 6-7 females, and with the extra 26 which will be planted soon i'll hopefully have 20 females I'm going for a final harvest of 15-20oz of Grade A buds =)

I cleaned up my outside grow area today, heres a pic. I'll plant 7 more seed into the first row of the garden and I have another spot prepped for the other 19 seeds and i'll also be transplanting the plant in the aergarden into the new row. I want to get the aerogarden plant to stretch out a bit so i can do a bit of a comparison/experiment on over stretched plants yeild vs. normal plants. I'll also be experimenting with fimm'ing, lollipopping(several of my plants are already lollipopped), different types of LST, and anything else i can think of. This grow should teach me tons and give me alot of experience, most of my plants are 12/12 from seed (some staarted outdoor/some indoor),Iv'e also been using H2O2 (3% food grade hydrogen peroxide) while watering and have noticed positive effects. I'm not even halfway through this grow and I have learned so much from my plants and there is so much more left for them to teach me.

I have a question for any outdoor texas growers out there. Around what time does the light schedule start shifting back to 18/6? My guess is late Feburaury but i really don't know. I want to let the batch im germinating right now to flower for atleast 8 weeks+ 3 weeks for it to veg and showw sex so i'm gonna have to let these go until mid Feb, will the natural light schedule still be 12/12? If it gets worse than 14/10 i'll probably pull them early. But i want to let them go till they're done

I did alot of work in my grow area and im very happy with the way it looks now
Heres my most progressed plant at the moment, The bud are coming along nicely and looks like the cola is gonna get fat I pollinated it with a male indica dom plant that grew in an explosive bushy pattern in veg and had a strong smell, the seeds are easy to spot now. Excited to harvest beans and work on making my own bagseed cross.
I transplanted two plants which were stunted due to growing in a spot with no direct sunlight, put them in a 10 gal pot along with a seedling. Didn't really think that through..lol Now since i'm using flower nutes the seedling will probably fry to death, eh =/This plant is at day 29 flower


This girl is really slow and really weirdShe has what i'm pretty sure are clusters of calyxes growing in a few spots, i thought they where nuts at first but two of them put out pistols so they must be calyxes. If not then ill take advantage of some fem seed next round =)

I had to transplant all plants into pots and kill off the smallest ones due to an assholes dickmove. I now have all my plants in a secure location until I think its safe to move them back. Once everything settles down for me a bit ill start up a new and improved grow.

Don't let ANYONE know you grow unless you KNOW you can trust them, that's were I fucked up. The Guy is the fiance of someone in my family and he's getting locked up for attacking her, he may tell the cops bout my plants cause he's a piece of shit . So I hid all my stuff, anyway do y'all think a cop would take the word of somebody in jail and even investigate into it? I have a feeling the cops wont come to my place just because he says I have some plants

This one is getting the chop soon, started going purple about 10 days ago. I have alot of seeds on her since I pollinated her with an indica dom male so i will grow her out big next season
Both of these are 12/12 from seed but the bigger one took longer to show sex due to me uprooting her. I probably stressed her out and she has what might be balls here is the balls on the larger girl here is another 12/12 from seed about 2 weeks into flower
