nogoo jars turned my oil blue. why?

this is my oil after sitting in the ORANGE jar for a week, untouched.... wtf??

Just a guess, but I've noticed the more” slippery” or slick/shiny the silicone is, the more likely the silicone is able to leech into the oil.

I almost got rid of all silicone/teflon in my production and storage.

I'm still using parchment for storing my oil, but now I get the brown cheap parchment, it is not nearly as shiny, but still works great, some of the sappy shatters have to be placed in the freezer for 30 seconds so it won't stick.

And, believe it or not..I'm using the brown grocery bags also for storing, same idea, just toss in freezer and it pops right off.

These Slick Pads, and Nogoo products are really cool, but I believe they are just taking advantage of the booming market of hash oil.
Of course all of what I just posted is simply my opinion, and I could be WAY off.

Might just be my phone but I don't see anything wrong with it...but silicone isn't really good to use

are you in New Mexico? I understand that the "Blue" is very popular there.

I trust only glass for my hashish but I thought silicone was safe, learning everyday.

it was the end of a very nice chunk... absolutely no blue before... and only blue on the part that touched the slilcone. I didnt wash the jar before I used it either.

I would like to see some pictures with light behind the oil! I can't tell. Looks like a dark oil shatterish substance!

seriously... look at the first picture. theres blue shit all over it from the nogoo jar!!!!!!

i wash all my silicone stuff with alcohol then soap and water like it suggests on the package, it doesnt suggest the alcohol but i am OCD.

Hey vac purge how load is the acual pump when u have it going for the 6 hours or so...to loud for an.apartment

In the first pic, I can't tell if the blue color is just coming from the reflection/shine on the oil itself, or if it's legitimately blue like paint almost... can you take some more pics? It might just be some blue silica left over from the manufacturing process.

its pretty loud, I do run it in an apartment though, but I stuff a rag in the exhaust port to quiet it down, then put another rag over it to help with the fumes.

sometimes when in doing big runs or long ones, I slip the pump outside the balcony door, and close the door as much as I can. you should really only be running it for 5 mins until full vacuum then turning it off.

come on you guys, its definitely not blue coming from a shine or from the oil, its clearly from the jars. im not retarded, theres no camera or eye tricks happening here. just a blue coating left on my oil from being in an orange dab jar. ill take some more pics... I figured that one was enough haha.

Really show off the blue if you can man.. honestly all I see is amber shatter...and some hair. You drop it on the carpet? Or you just have a few cats lol

But really though silicone shouldn't be used to handle the pure cannabinoids and definitely not anything with remaining solvent.. but even so, I don't see why it would turn blue. Silicone isn't blue. No sort of reaction I know of with anything around ya should cause blue.... unless I guess they could have treated their silicone with cobalt. But its nit a drying packet for food preservation lol......so... I got nothing
