Reagan was elected legitamatly. Boy did we fuck up there
As usual the shit starts flying when we simply ask what is the point? And even now, no one knows.

That's not forgetting the past or being of GOP playbook. It's very real. So what?
Is there a point of, or just babble or even a good smear of some kind?

I could post all the foul play, by say, Ford. President Gerald Ford. Pick one. The Boat rescue thing.

I post a video.....don't say, FA...I don't take sides or make any point.<YAWN>

But, you rabids would jump in with, propaganda! GOP playbook, am I right?

Nope.

Barbara Honegger, who worked in the Reagan State Department, wrote a book titled October Surprise. She and reporter Gary Sick both reported that during the week of October 15th through the 20th 1980, Reagan campaign director Bill Casey went to Paris and met with representatives of the Ayatollah, asking him to stop negotiating with Carter and just hold the hostages until after the election. If Iran would do this, Casey promised, he’d get them weapons for the US-supplied military that the Shaw had amassed, and he’d route those weapons through Israel so nobody would ever know. The Iranians said, “Yes.”

The next day, on October 21st, the Iranians inexplicably, at least to the Carter administration that thought it was working out a deal, stopped negotiating. The world later learned that, over the next three days, Israel began shipping F-4 fighter jet tires to Iran, the first of many shipments of US-made weapons to go that route over the next few years.

And on January 20th, at the exact moment Reagan raised his hand to be sworn in, the Iranians released the hostages. It was their way of saying, “Deal done.” When we found out about it, and that the money the Iranians were paying Reagan for the military hardware was being used to kill Contra rebels in Nicaragua, it was referred to as the “Iran/Contra scandal.”

Lol, so that's a conspiracy theory UB will support.

No, it's true. Doesn't mean the Presidency is less legit than others. Carter was an easy shot.

It to me, represents one of the few times the Re-pubs had successfully screwed the Dems, not the other way around.

I'm all for that, without being a supporter of the screwer. I support the screwing is all.

I think Nixon was under rated....I didn't vote for him, but back then I just didn't vote at all...Looking back I think he got screwed...
Sure, an under rated Public Enemy 1#. That motherfucker is responsible for this drug war and the trillions of dollars wasted and the millions of lives ruined.

Nixon was pure fucking evil (even dead) and I hope someday the world will remove this POS from all history books. I voted for McGovern in 72. We all knew he was guilty of the Watergate break in and cover up but the media did little until after the election. He threw the Schafer com. report in the trash and moved weed up to a Shd. 1 drug that is responsible for so many of our people being imprisoned or lives ruined.

Looking back I think they should have arrested the dirty bastard and threw him in prison.

Hello..

Nixon could of been thrown in jail I wouldn't of cared....The water gate deal what a joke, it made a good movie...The things that go on now in government make water gate look like a picnic...for example..four americans are killed in libyia and hillary a Dem leader says" What does it matter "....Maybe Nixon could of said that and everything would of just gone away...

Just imagine Nixon getting busted getting presidential BJ's in the white house by some young school girl that seen some value in saving a dress that had some DNA stains...I compare that with water gate and it makes me think Nixon got screwed....but that is just my opinion...

You posers can't stand the fact that Eisenhower was the last legitimately elected republican President.

You're right, there has been controversy around the election of EVERY repub president in the past 50 years with the exception of Bush Sr., and one could argue if it werent for Reagan stealing his election which in turn made Bush Sr vice president he would have never been elected.

And look at the damage all these criminal presidents have done; from extending Vietnam for years to the drug war (Carter wanted marijuana legal), to killing the middle class with Reaganomics to the gulf wars.

No, no....every President, you poor Partisan, every President has controversy self-created and the stuff the press manufactures and smeared on.

You are just taking sides. You only say what Carter wanted, not what he messed up so badly.....Read more?

Stated opinions by polticians are a real danger onlly if you believe a word of it. Thus it is ever so.

Pointing out how your hero's steal power in this country is taking sides? Look in the mirror, you've been defending these treasonous thugs from page 1 of this thread. Did I say anything defending dems other than Carter wanted weed legal?

If, by your premise, that Nixon followed his marching orders from the military industrial complex, then yes

LBJ calls it treason? Lyndon Baines Johnson, the very same LBJ who was intricately involved in JFKs assassination?

Don't believe me? The truth is out there

In November 1968, LBJ had evidence that Nixon had sabotaged the Vietnam war peace talks — or, as he put it, that Nixon was guilty of treason and had 'blood on his hands'.
And this proves what? That all republicans are evil and all democrats are beyond reproach... puhlease, they were both evil, one calling the other treasonous is like Stalin calling Hitler a despot.

Nope, sorry, you are completely wrong... Eisenhower was the media golden child - in other words he was the product of the zionist controlled media. They owed Eisenhower because Eisenhower did their bidding by MURDERING 250,000 German POWs AFTER the end of WWII.

All elections were pretty much decided by voting up until George Bush Jr., But, of course, the zionist media pretty much decided the election in advance. That last TRUELY elected president was Jimmy Carter - and the zionist dropped the ball on that one and decided that will never happen again.

Get ready for 2016... It's gonna be Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush as your two choices - God save us :P

But honestly, it doesn't matter as the President has no real power anyways - as Carter found out. When he became president, he went to then CIA director George Bush Sr. and asked for information related to UFOs. Carter was told that such information was classified and he had to need to know.

Well, perhaps it is too easy to get lost in forum fight mentality.

How is Regan my hero, are you saying he, too, is Che-ist? I don't keep up with who said what, to who. BORING. None of this is personal, and if it seems so, that seems like sad confusion to others.

Are you the OP, btw? (ah, who cares?) And you won't see me defending the thugs. I said all Presidents, not just your hate list...get it? Ya jst not payin attention, son.

And WFT??? I didn't quote you and didn't refer to you. Our posts happen to line up.

I say, I say, please pay attention.

Well, in that regard I do agree. Yet another sad commentary on the perils and pitfalls of self rule.

But, isn't the truth very simple? We don't know. Every President can be looked at in the Red spotlight and the Blue one.

This entire subject is hardly partisan. The man for the times, or the times make the man. It's WE putting someone up there and let the shit happen for a few years and then someone else. The Presidency is only the focal point of the constant hash of bad decisions WE make. No one can make all the bad decisions for themselves.

Just read about any or best, all these citizens that held the hammer of Office for a short period...and some were shot, even.
Tough job.....
