Nitrogen deficiency or nute burn?

What's up guys, having a little trouble. All was going well until about the 5th-6th set of true leaves. The cotelydons fell off which I read is normal, then the set of leaves right above them began yellowing and fell as well. At least not on all four plants but on one of them I noticed the second set of true leaves is now yellowing and curling.

The girls are 4 weeks old growing in 3gal FFOF, and have only been fed about 4 times (FFOF Trio) using 1/4 strength the first feeding, and then 1/2 since then.

Other more experienced growers can correct me if I'm wrong, but I would hold off on the nutes for a bit. The plants look pretty good overall.

Am I correct that you started feeding from week 1?

First feeding was on their 3rd week.

WDIK is correct...^^^ Add more perlite I re. 30-50% perlite to those 'hot' commerical soils, right now due for a flush ...perhaps a FIM too. you want bud right ???

Planned on mainlining not sure if topping would be wise right now.

Just going by the OP. They are 4 weeks old and been fed ~4 times starting week 3?

You've gotta take it easy with FF nutes. especially if you're mixing all 3 of them at the same time .
I fried my plant like that @ 1/4 strength...

I'd say your plant looks good. The first set of leaves do "die" off so don't panic. New growth will show deficiencies/burns

Every time I water I always water to the point where the water comes out the bottom of the holes in the pot. This will help flush out salt build up from fertilizers. to me the plants look good. The older leaves will yellow and die with time, that is natural.

a little bit of burn on older growth. new growth looks nice. minor issues. plus rep....oh right i forgot no more rep...well i'll give ya a like then.

So should they be left alone and just watered, or would a flush be the way to go?

I always defer to others with more experience, but the new growth looks very good. Maybe just water the next couple of times unless you notice it getting worse.

If its yellowing on the bottom its usually lack of light. What kind of light are you using? Nute burn usually starts on top and burns the tips while the leaf tacos your plants look healthy otherwise.

@akislander four plants under a 600w mh, ballast set to 75%, in a 2' x 4' x 6' tent.

How high is the light? I agree about the nutes and cutting them down because your in good soil but it honestly looks like light deficiency. I would bring that light down to about a foot to a foot and a half above them. The light deminishes a lot the higher it is. And by the stretching it really adds to my believe of lack of light. Is it a sativa of indica? Sativas stretch a lot on their own but not like that so a little of it may be from genetics but I'm thinking more so from the light.

Also the rule of thumb in soil is to feed water, water, water, water, then start again. Other wise you will get nutrient build up in the soil and it can kill them.

Not sure which thumb and it's rules you are talking about.

Your soil looks dry as hell in those pics. And, I bet that's what's causing your issue. When you water them, you gotta get the soil evenly wet (don't leave dry pockets because roots won't grow in dry pockets). Water til you get runoff coming out the bottom, then let it drain well. Your roots need to be moist at all times, otherwise they will just die and your plant won't do nothing but turn yellow and wilt.

I agree but I would water a little bit at a time instead of soaking it....

see I started to earlier ..... forgot to delete...lol.....
