Nirvana White Rhino, no trichomes

anybody ever grown and flower a White Rhino by Nirvana? i'm growing one and am beginning the 7th week of flowering. there are a bunch of pistils but no trichomes. the pistils are actually starting to turn orange but no trichomes. i have 2 master kush in the same hydro system and they have trichomes galore. i'm thinking of just killing it now.

has this ever happened to anyone else?

yes my partner and i grew about 5 or 6 white rhinos and they where dusty with trichs pix would help are you feeding enuf

It has happened to me, but in my case the cause was a nutrient disbalance, specifically an excess of ammonia nitrogen, paired with potassium deficiency. Some strains are more sensitive than others. Not sure if that's your problem tho.

3. shit plant that Self pollinated and you haven't spotted it yet, so they trich production is flatlined.

Nirvana sell second or third rate seeds.

At week 7 though you should have buds. Id have looked at your enviroment, is their any light leaks?

there are NO trichomes.

there are 2 master kush plants in the same flood and drain and they are absolutely loaded with trichomes and well developed.

how many are you growing, is it the first female of the pack or have all turned out bunk?

I'd like to see a pic of what you mean, as 1/7 nirvana fems I have going right now is rubbish brown and fluffy; I've read that herming could be responsible. Altho mine does have trichs, the hairs have been brown since week 4, and the buds are mostly small (week 8 now).

You might be lucky and only have a few beans.



Nirvana lost their quality years ago (what they ad)
People who say their brilliant are probably never going to try the originals due to ignorance (ive been their to)

if you want reliable genetics you need to spend what the original (or as close to) seller wants.

I had a similar problem with 1/2,a pack nirvanas blue mystic
Out of a reg ten pack 4 where male 6 female 2 were runts and destroyed
3 never grew an abundance of trich and 1 was halfway worthwhile ( ran through ice water)
I refer to that grow as blue mistake now and will not be ordering from anymore 90's grunge bands

i grew blue mystic, the only thing with more resin in my tents at the time was my keeper jillybean and Orangestunk. After dry and cure the blue mystic buds weighed the most and had a glassy-oil feel to them like they weren't even flowers but marble coated with trichomes. i guess you have to find a few good ones to have something to talk about though.... the plants are well worth the $50 i spent for 20 reg blue mystics, i got 3 females worth cloning out of about 7 fems per pack.


nowhere near the most potent bud i've smoked, so i don't exactly believe resin/trichomes fully explain potency of a plant.

how sure are you on this lol...i once smoked some white rhino that made me grey out for 5 seconds and made everything look like a flip book nothing moved fluidly things were jumping around my sound cut out when i started laughing too hard...it was crazy...been looking for some killer white rhino ever since

I'm sure he's right! Mr. Nice is owned by Shantibaba. Shantibaba is the original breeder of White Widow. He was co-owner of Green House seeds. When he left GH seeds he took the White Widow genetics with him. Then all these shiity fake White Widows came out and he rename the REAL White Widow, Black Widow. Medicine Man is White Rhino crossed with the real White Widow. All the rest are fake White Rhino and Fake White Widow, he changed the name to set himself apart from the fakes.

so the medicine man isnt pure white rhino then its a cross?!...so who came up with the original white rhino purebred and is that available?

i'm seeing some stuff on the internet saying White Rhino is a cousin to Medicine Man.

My last grow I had a Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk, Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze, and a White Label White Widow. The PC and SLH turned out to be some funk that was caked in trichs but the WW had tons of buds but had no visible trichs. It never turned around either, but I think killing it would be a huge waste of time and some mid grade weed. That's how I described my WW harvest as being some mid grade weed. I think it was just a shitty pheno and nothing I did wrong. Probably the same thing in your case.

medicine man is the original white rhino genetics all others are knockoffs with lower genetic quality, the difference is the genetic pool, medicine man has more phenos than most the knockoffs. it is a homogenous strain.

i dont know how to explain better(without using complicated breeding terminology and a lot of examples)
its like the difference between heirloom seeds and burpee seeds

I made the mistake of growing auto ak x lowryder 2. No trichomes except in the center of the flowers. Big plants considering they were supposed to be dwarfs. 38 inches or so. Made some ok oil out of them but man..what a fucking waste of time and money
