Nirvana Short Rider

Day 40- there are 2 of 5 total Short Rider Autos from Nirvana pictured.

400 watt HPS, foliage pro, tiger bloom and big bloom every other watering.
Will I be harvesting in 20-30 days?
This is my FIRST grow so please let me know if you see any issues with the health of the plant.

Comments/thoughts are welcome!

What size pots are they in? My autos are just under 3 ft. Get a magnifying glass 30x or higher and keep an eye on the tichomes. You want all of them cloudy with a few amber ones mixed in. Then you know its done. They look nice

You would get larger plants with larger pots. I have 2.5 gallon pots and I'm close to 3 feet. People say 12 inches per gallon. Seems true. Autos like big pots and no transplanting. I have a grow journal if you wanna check it out

Not trying to toot my own horn but I have given my plants no nutrients in the first 5 weeks and have the same results if not better than most people that feed a whole line up. I just gave one feeding 2days ago. 1 ml if tiger bloom and 1.5mL big bloom. I use fox farm ocean forest soil. Best soil in my opinion

fox farm soil is hot, thats why you only needed low/no nutes in veg, IMO

I use FFOF as well, & I use 5gal smart pots w Grow big, Big Bloom, & Tiger Bloom. I don't feed any nutes for the first
2-3weeks. Here are a few pics of my AK48 & OG Kush auto's under a spydr600 LED...
Nice!!! Your autos don't burn feeding that early?

A trick that another member showed me is to push the plants by going up on there nutes until they barely burn & then dropping back 10% & holding it there in order to maximize potential...
Every strain, grow condition, plant & soil are different so tweeking your individual situation is a must to maximize growth...
That is what I've been taught.

I get tip burn every time I grow from just the soil

My very first grow, I had 3 plants that only produced about an oz each & then with sum sound advice from other members on here I was able to get 2.4oz off of my last Auto (AK48) & now I'm currently growing the 2 AK's & 1 OG Kush that I posted pics of earlier that I hope to get at least 3oz each...

I don't transfer, I start mine off in the 5gal smart pot & only give RO water for 2-3 weeks & then I add in just a 1/4ts of nutes on the first feed & then I just give RO water ph'd to 65 on the next feeding & then I go to full strength FF feeding schedule after that & I keep going up until I get burn & then I drop back 10% or until I no longer get burn.
That is how I'm currently doing things, but I am the type of person who is always wanting to learn more & try new things.

One of my smallest short riders at day 42. This one is in a half gallon pot and is around 80 cm. smart pots with happy frog soil. The other 4 short riders are at 100 cm. really starting to put on some buds now. Got tiger bloom, big bloom and foliage pro going still...

Read up on EC/PPM meters then. Know exactly the EC/PPM of your water and your feeds. By gradually raising the EC you should not get burn.

Yea, I have one & that's how I did my first grow but since every plant is different you won't kno exactly what each plants actual nute intake capability is until you actually see the burn & then back off about (10%).
Using a preset ppm number will get you close but it won't be exact. Just like using the suggested rates on the bottle will get you close as well, but since every single plant & every grow area are different, everyone has to test every plant individually to find each plants nutritional sweet spot....
At least that's how it has been suggested to me by a member on here who produces well over 4oz/plant on Auto strains....
Plus, ppm can be confusing if you don't know if the source is using EC or CF to calculate ppm. 900ppm & 1260ppm can both be accurate for example because one is using 1000ppm & the other is using 1400ppm (American standard vs European standard).

Is it normal to see noticeable bud growth in just a day? I swear that between leaving in the AM and coming home from work, they look bigger. Ridiculously fast growing....

Hey guys- I just upgraded to a 4x3x5ft tent from a 2x2x3 ft tent. While in the small tent, one of my Durban poison autos got too close to the light and got burned(see pic).

Should I cut the burned stuff off? Or leave it alone? I'm sad I let this happen. But at least they are in the big tent now with plenty of room.
