Nirvana Seeds Payment Issues

I keep reading posts about people making successful orders this year with their debit cards from Nirvana Shop but it won't work for me. They even state that they don't accept debit cards and that they have to be credit cards.

Well my problem is that wellsfargo won't give me a credit card because they claim I don't have enough credit. On top of that I can't even get one of those secure credit cards backed by my own money (don't know why because I had enough money for it).

So my patient might have to go without any medication because I can't get seeds because my debit card won't suffice, and to make a bank transfer I apparently have to go into a bank location which doesn't seem like a very safe way to do things.

Help?

Have you tried one of the pre-paid cards that you can load cash onto? I'm sure every major chain store sells them..just a thought.......

Don't people usually have lots of issues getting those to work with seedbanks?
Not all seedbanks accept gift cards/pre-paid debit cards. You can usually find out who does by reading their FAQ. Here is what it says at Attitude.

Gift cards are also accepted online and over the phone should you not have a credit/debit card. With these you must enter the issuing banks details in the billing section and then your address in the delivery details. You must also call the gift card company to register the card and tell them you are purchasing overseas so they can activate it for international use.

I have read of people purchasing ones at stores that were marked International, but I never look at those things so I can't swear that is true or not, but I have read many messages of people claiming they purchased a gift card/pre-paid debit card at a Wal-Mart or somewhere and it worked.

It can't be that difficult to work out.

I have always heard of people getting those cards.. I never have personally, but sold a camera recently via Paypal, and the guy went and bought those green dot cards.. Money was instant for me.. I would imagine anyone, than again, that was US. Attitude accept my Paypal card as payment with no problems.. Of course used "different name", friends PO box, in a different city as well. Just trying to help. Let us know what you find that works..SOme of us may be in your shoes one day...

Peace!

just send cash or money order thats what i did b4 i had a card that would work.

I tried my debit card and my bank wouldn't let it go through. I guess its high risk being overseas I dunno I HATE BANKS. The bank called and asked if i had my card because there might be fraudulent activity on my account. I said yes and didn't try to use that card again.

CITI bank offer a prepaid card that will work tho.

w/o reading any other posts in the thread, why don't you just pay with a money order/cashier's check or Wire it? they accept both forms of payment.

I can attest that Nirvana accepts pre-paid cards.

Here's what I did. I went to wal mart and bought one of the blue "wal mart money cards" as they call them. Check the back and read the fine print to make sure it can be used internationally. They had a "student" version I almost bought because it was a little cheaper, but I checked the back and saw it couldn't be used internationally. Here's the thing, and this is the most important part. You must register the card. The one you get when you buy it is just a temp card and will only work places where you actually swipe a card. It won't work online where you just type the numbers in. When you register it, you need to give your name, address, SSN anyway so it's not like you can stay anon with it. Once you register the card you'll get a real one with your name on it in about a week. Then you can use it online to buy beans. Mine has worked numerous time with both Attitude and Nirvana.

There may be others out there that you don't have to register that will also work online and internationally, but I'm not aware of any. At the time I didn't have a checking account and specifically purchased it to buy seeds. It was like $5. There is also a $3 a month maintenance fee plus $3 to reload it, which can be done at any wal mart. My wal mart has a machine at the customer service area where you can reload it. Also, I believe they charge 3% for any international order.

One last thing, I'm not sure what the deal is with them not accepting debt cards. Maybe it has something to do with being international, but a credit card and a debit card are usually interchangeable. As long as it has a visa logo on it, as far as I know you can just click "credit" and put the numbers in like you would any other order.

You can always try the cash/money oder route. Just make sure it is an INTERNATIONAL money order. If it were me and I was sending cash, I think I would pay the few bucks extra for registered mail with delivery confirmation so they can't say they didn't receive it.

Since its international I would have to go into a bank and sit down with someone in order to get it 'wired'. I don't want to send cash because it could be easily stolen or claimed as never received. And they don't accept money orders or checks.

Ok so it turns out they were flagging all of these international orders as fraudulent and not even telling me about it. I eventually called up the wellsfargo hot line and found that to be the case, the banks systems figured someone else was using my card because I'd apparently never made international purchases before. So the guy on the line flagged them as my purchases but canceled them as well. Now I can order from Nirvana and Attitude just fine with my regular ol debit Wellsfargo visa debit card.

I just check out Attitude and they don't take Master Cards! My card is a master card so I guess I'll have to depend upon the local sources for my beans. Fortunately Cali has now gone legal! I found three dispensaries in town that sell seeds so I'll have to check with them. I wanted some autos to get my jars filled before I start photos and clones.

Darn Attitude had some very fine seeds I wanted too.
